Ball hill diner is quite famous around these parts for having memorabilia and bikes hung from the walls. I first noticed it because they delivered Sunday lunches. Although we never ended up having one delivered, it did prompt us to visit on a few occasions.
The breakfasts from here are great although not what you would expect from a cafe. It was a little too "clean" tasting for us when we visited which sounds a bizarre complaint but those who enjoy a traditional greasy spoon restaurant will know what I mean.
All of the mains look very much from a pre packaged meal. I had a pork batch and the meat was definitely out of a packet. I should mention that I did enjoy it but just not to the extent that I would have done if it was carved straight off the joint.
The menu here is a large one which is probably why you don't always get the food freshly made to order. However, its an all rounder and worth a visit if you ever find yourself in the area.
Although not on here, just down the road is a cafe called rosebuds. If you ever get chance, their omelette and chips will change your life. ;-)
