It's a nice little pub with good food at reasonable price. And the food is plentiful! The decor and fire place give it a cozy feeling. The only problem is that most customers are local seniors, doesn't make it very lively. Tables are also small.

We recently traveled from Ireland to visit family in Coventry and stayed in the Premier Inn adjacent to the Town Wall Tavern. We had done some research on the net and planned to have lunch in the TWT. After a morning visiting the Ricoh Arena we travelled back into the city centre to lunch in the TWT. Our party was my wife and I and our 3 children 12, 11 and 5. However when we arrived we were informed by the landlady that children were not served. We were very dissappointed as it was obvious that our party were not trouble makers and had traveled to the pub to dine and not drink. I am aware that a landlord can serve whoever they choose but they could not refuse us on grounds of race or creed etc. so it is a grey area refusing children. I come from a pub and catering background and I have never seen children refused food before anywhere. It was very dissappointing to see the little signs on the bar and lounge doors stating children not admitted. Dominic Kearns, Trim, Co. Meath, Ireland.

Came here Saturday lunch as at footy p.m.. Son spotted here and admit didn't expect this little gem. Beer choice and taste excellent - Doom Bar,Elland, Deauchars and Trelawny/ St Austell was a cracking range and the sausage and onion ciabattas and side chips were excellent. Agree with other reviewers, small rooms and aging regulars but hey, the room with the vinyl records and sleeves and its atmosphere are bound to be continually popular. Excellent staff too, thanks . And our team won.......

Set behind Corporation Street next to the back of the Belgrade Theatre, a hidden gem. Reasonably prices pub food of excellent quality. Friendly, helpful staff. Watering hole for actors and staff from the Belgrade

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Traditional pub with the charm of small bar plus larger lounge. No machines. Very tasty food. Good beer.
