Family day out today, undecided where to go and decided on the transport museum, very glad we did. The whole history of car manufacturing in Coventry over the years was totally fascinating and viewing the huge range of different modes of transport which were all nicely themed as you moved through the museum was very interesting. There were interactive sections for the children to touch and explore, the simulator was good fun. An Olympic torch also resides here. The children were in awe of the blitz experience.. Overall a really enjoyable three hours, the obligatory overpriced shop awaits at the end and we did not use the on site cafe so can not comment. The fact it is free entry is an added bonus, we would have been happy to pay, they do ask for a donation or to buy a guide book at £4.99. The simulator was £1.50 pp. Totally recommend it for all ages.
