“Very Nice and quiet park with pool and castle-like hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

The lane is beatiful, and lovely. Take a deep breathe, let you relax yourself.

The castle-like hotel let you feel as a princess or prince.

By the way, if you like , you can drink a cup of coffee in the beautiful garden near the pool.
of course, you can BBQ nearby the car park.

“great place - when we found it!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

Needs more brown signs to tell you where the park is, as we don't all have satnavs! Certainly one from Brinklow to tell you to turn right at the junction would be handy, as would one to say turn left at the traffic lights a mile or so after Walsgrave Hospital. However, once we arrived, we had a great time. At £3.70, parking is a bit expensive, but after that it is not necessary to spend any money unless you particularly want to. A lovely lake, woodland walks, discovery centre, shops, pond dipping, good playgrounds, etc made for an enjoyable day out.

“Coombe abbey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2014

Originally a religious institution, then a grand family stately home, then property of Coventry corporation now the building is a hotel and restaurant. the grounds open to public are extensive park/woodland with lake which sustains fish, herons, swans and other wildlife. There is a information desk, sovenires restaurant etc apart from hotel. Plenty of parking and walks. The park contains many sculptures carved from tree trunks. a great place for walks, nature rambles picnics etc.

“coombe abbey - place to be”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2014

A great few hours/day here. All year round place to be. Have been loads of times! children are free to run around, feed the ducks and there is a little safe park. Lots of walking and great space for dogs. there are toilets and a café. In the summer an ice-cream van and you can have a bar b que!
