I went to this hotel apart of the Leisure time tour. There was myself and 7 other women ranging from 18-70 and there was something for everyone. Hotel on outside looked like a prison!! There was a good welcome from the staff the room was spotless!! Excellent shower and a good hot meal. Breakfast in the morning was lovley! Couldn't really fault it for £59pp the decor is very dated but there are plenty of places to sit and relax. All in all a great stay.

Needed hotel near NEC and this one came out way cheaper than all the rest. But what I got was great value for money. Staff were all very polite. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was busy but efficient and no problem getting a table - dining area seems to have had recent makeover. Its true the hotel looks past its prime and there are plenty of signs of wear and tear but don't let that put you off. If you like your hotels to be new and bland then you will be disappointed. If you don't mind a trip back into the last century (with room prices to match) then this is the one to go for.

My husband and I used this hotel as a base to visit the Cotswold villages. Despite outer, dated appearance this hotel was clean, comfortable and the food was good. The room was spacious with individual thermostats to make it cosy. We overlooked the garden were everything was covered in snow, so pretty.
The food was Carvery style, excellent Gammon, and breakfast was buffet style. Only complaint,no porridge!

We used this Hotel which was booked for us through a travel agent. This was for an overnight stay and parking our car for a week.
If I had pulled up at this Hotel without booking I wouldn't have gone in however as we had booked and paid we went ahead.
The room was old an tired as was the Hotel however the bed was clean and comfortable and the linen smelt nice and fresh.
As we only paid £49.00 for overnight stay and 1 weeks parking it was very reasonable.
It cost us £5 each return for transport to airport and back.
The evening meal cost £9.95 for 3 course, including coffee. The meal was absolutely fine and on speaking to the Chef he was a very pleasant man who we felt worked really hard and was doing his best for the amount of work he has to do. The receptionist was also very helpful.
The beer was £2 a pint, what more could you ask.
The Hotel is owned by the Brittania chain and I feel they should tidy the outside up, the canopy over the entrance was damaged.
I understand they have a lot of coach trips stay over and on speaking to people we met in the bar the cost of a few days stay is unbelievably cheap.

Room Tip: Cheap, value for money but don't expect anything modern. Would class this as a 2 star hotel

I stayed for one night with work as couldnt get in to anywhere near NEC, Hilton Coventry was full etc so this was one of the few available and i can see why. When i pulled up i and drove past 6 coaches in the car park i should have turned round.. I checked in ok and got to my superior room and boy was i glad id booked a superior! old fashioned tv with just 6ish channels, very uncomfortable sofa bed as a sofa, bed itself was clean but not that comfortable. Room was very tired and bathroom had seen better days.
When i went to the bar for a quiet drink the queue was 2 deep of day trippers using their vouchers and making the most of the happy hour.. i couldnt find a quiet corner anywhere. i did get served and the bar staff were pleasant enough. I didnt eat as i didnt fancy it after a resident sitting next to me told me of his breakfast and what looked like eggs.. i was told to get breakfast ebfore 7:30 as the coach loads would arrive at that time and clear everything out, he was right.. i stuck to a cold breakfast including the toast! and was leaving as the place filled up. phew!! the wireless didnt work in the room either.
Im glad it was only one night and i wont be going back.

Travelled with National Holidays. 2 night stay for £99 with free bar (4 drinks per night)

Have stayed before & knew what to expect. Yes the outside looks awful but it's not that bad.

The staff work hard & are cheery.

The decor is dated & could do with a make over & complete redecoration. The bedrooms are clean. The corridor smelled strongly of disinfectant.

The restaurant staff have a strict area for you to sit in. Don't sit in the wrong place. Take note of your allocated napkin colour they will move you. ;-)
Food was self service with a crazy queue if there are lots of coaches in.
Get your dinner quick if you want to nab a seat in the reception or bar area as it fills up.

The lifts get busy so give yourself an extra 5minutes to get up/down.

If you are easy going & don't mind staying in a hotel that needs an updated refurbishment then this National Coach holiday trip is for you. 2 nights is bearable.

This hotel was quite adequate for our requirements. We only spent one night there as part of a National Holidays weekend, but could not fault anything. The room was clean, comfortable and well furnished with full bathroom etc. Yes, the room was on the small side, but we were not spending much time in it. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and there was plenty of it at both dinner and breakfast. The hotel could do with some refurbishment, but was not as bad as some reviewers would like us to think.
