We had an overnight stay here last weekend, we bought an upgrade to a superior double room, this cost us £20 and was worth it, we had sky TV a sofa and more room, the bed was comfy and the quilt was lovely and soft and kept us nice and snug.
We used the leisure facilities, the pool was rammed with kids, there was one lane for swimming and this was taken up by a swimming lesson for kids! I know this is a family venue but one swimming lane for adults would have been nice. The restrictions on the hot tub were quite restrictive as it was always busy and did not make for a particularly pleasant experience. I appreciate this was a Saturday and you can expect it to be busy, but overall we did not enjoy this part of our stay.
We had breakfast the next morning, this was great and the variety of the food available was very good, not disappointed.
Overall we had a nice stay, the girls on reception were polite and friendly and when we asked for some more milk it was brought to our room within about 10 mins, good stuff.

Room Tip: Go for the £20 upgrade if you can, it is worth it.

This is a decent hotel, on the outskirts of Coventry. The pool and spa area were great, and not too busy when I was there. The room was a good size and comfy, and a great help yourself cooked breakfast in the morning. You can book tickets for Friday night's entertainment like comedy and tribute acts, or spa breaks. Very good overall and fairly priced.

Stayed in a twin room with a friend on a spa deal and an overnight deal which included dinner and breakfast. Spa deal included light lunch.
This is quite a big place with a pub, a restaurant, a gym, pool with jaccuzis, sauna and steam room, Starbucks and treatment rooms. You can tell surrounding community come to it as their local gym, starbucks and pub. Despite how large it is we were mostly impressed by the consistently good customer service we received in every part of the village. The only place we didn't use was Starbucks. The hotel is busy but not uncomfortably so. Staff are chatty, ask all the right questions, they're helpful and made us feel very welcome. The food in both the restaurant and pub was of a good standard. The breakfast was also good. Gym is well equipped. Pool is a good size. Treatment rooms are lovely and the chill out bit a nice touch. Rooms were clean and warm.
The only little niggle was the lady in the restaurant on the Friday evening. She was very abrupt and we felt she let the rest of the staff down. Also, when we stayed there was a bunch of young professionals on some conference who banged doors and laughed and screamed into early hours. I believe hotel staff had to ask them to be quiet at some point.
Apart from that would highly recommend for a relaxing spa day/stay, a business stay, a buzzing stay with friends/family or a little getaway.

Stayed early in Feb 2013. Not for the first time but to give it a second chance.
No heating in the room despite the sign saying to put the room card in the slot to activate heating. There was no hot water in the morning and a dribble from the shower and taps.
Breakfast is very poor especially if you are toward the end of service. I mentioned my problems to the Receptionist when checking out who said I should have switched the radiator on - the switch is on the back of it. How should we know this? She also said sorry for the Hot Water issues but no compensation. She then told me there were no printers working and she would email the Invoice. I still don't have an Invoice despite 3 phone calls and 2 emails. I have pulled our entire company business from the hotel ( about 150 rooms per annum) . This is a dreadful hotel if travelling on business in particular.

Stayed 7 nights for business working at the NEC along with 6 colleagues. I have stayed in various village hotels, this was very good. Plenty of attentive staff, the room was clean, warm and well equiped for a week away (iron etc). Bar staff were good but food a bit standard in the bar but to be expected with a restaurant on site. restaurant food was fine and the staff good but any drinks that needed to come from the bar took way too long as one person went to get someone to take the order who gave it to the bar then every time it got forgotten. We ate out 3 nights but stayed for the Sunday carvery which was good so many courses and go up as much as you wanted, loved the yorkshires and gravy. We will book this one again.

I've used this hotel twice a year for 10 years now for exhibitions at the NEC. Only 10 mins in the car and much better value than the large corporate hotels around the NEC. It's clean, friendly, lots of amenities including free parking and nothing is overpriced. There are some really good restaurants within a short walk/drive (the farmhouse, wing wah, da vinci's) so I wouldn't bother eating here. I have done for convenience and its not bad though. There is a Starbucks too, and a pool, gym, etc if that floats your boat.

The recent refurb has made reception look dull and dingy and the rooms and corridors are looking a little tired in parts (bathrooms could do with upgrading), however the beds are really comfortable. All in all, it's damn good value for what you get, and I will continue to come back.
