We go to the Shilton arms very often. The food may be slightly more expensive than typical food chain pubs, but it's a lovely, local village, individually run pub. I believe all the meat is from local, free range farms. Which would be better than a 'sizzling' pub that meat is probably caged animals in Iran that your paying £8 a steak for anyway.
I am all for small business, why not go to the local pubs than a million pound franchise just to save your self a couple of ££!!! I have always enjoyed the food, and the staff are very friendly! I also noticed about the reserve tables, so I asked if they were all reserved and they are only reserved so that you get full table service. We never have to get up to get a drink or get the bill. The staff are very attentive!
