Called in here on a Friday night about eight pm, not having booked. Place was quite busy with around 4 tables unoccupied but all had 'Reserved' on them. Enquired at the bar if they had any tables for 2 people and saying we had not booked. Another couple also came in and were wanting a table as well. The staff said yes they could fit us in and showed us to a 'Reserved' table for two. The other couple were taken to a 'Reserved' table for 4! Menu's were presented, together with a Special's menu and drinks orders taken. Menu was quite extensive and reasonably priced. Fish pie was one of the dishes ordered and the waitress asked if the smaller fish pie would suit better which they serve at lunchtimes. This was accepted and when it arrived it was plenty. We were told it was about 1/2 the size of the evening portion! Overall good food and service although don't quite get why they put 'Reserved' on tables then let you sit there!
