“Ideal venue with clean , practical space for a family”
Reviewed September 26, 2010

We stayed for two nights , despite some confusion during the booking stage the staff were helpful and genuine. The 2 bed apartment was clean and practical for a family, having separate space for the kids!! There was some noise on saturday night but then it is a budget hotel in the city centre but we allslept like logs.

The hotel looks awful from the outside but I was pleasantly surprised on the inside. The room was small but adequate, with TV, kitchen area and small shower room and toilet. The shower room stank of damp but looked fairly clean. The kitchen area was a nice touch and had a microwave, sink, kettle etc.
The bed was so uncomfortable it could double as a torture device. Every spring could be felt poking out, which the hotel was obviously aware of as they had placed a banket as an extra layer under the sheet to sleep on!!! It didn't help. I slept on the duvet and was still VERY uncomfortable. Also the lift is so noisy it kept me awake most of the night.
If these problems could be sorted out it would be a nice enough hotel, but I wouldn't want to try and sleep there again the way it is now!

Upon our check-in for 2 nights at this hotel, we had a very good first impression : great location (close to everything) and a small but clean room with a very convenient kitchenette. But that first impression didn’t stay for long when we went to the bathroom : filthy shower curtain, and the look from the toilet seat was very unpleasant with lots of dust on the floor behind the door and some hair(!) sticking on the washbasin… Also, the electrical socket for the shaver was not working.
But the worst was yet to come. When we came back to a well deserved night of sleep, we found out that the elevator (which was a few feet away from our room) had a VERY loud and noisy bell that kept on ringing and ringing over and over again. Around 11 PM, a bus full of schoolgirls (large groups seem to be common in this hotel) arrived and started using the elevator almost non-stop for a few hours... Added to the fact that the doors were slamming frequently until very late, we slept very little and were woken up at around 5 AM when the same circus started again. Being people that don’t like to make too much trouble, we chose not to ask for a room change on our second night, hoping to sleep better by putting on earplugs. But believe it or not, the noise from the elevator was too loud and too frequent once again and we almost didn’t sleep.
So if you choose to book this hotel and want to have a little bit of rest, ask for a room AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM THE ELEVATOR and expect to have large groups of people staying next to you. Pray that they’ll be quiet…

Inside has been renovated recently. The rooms were a good size, clean and even had a little kitchen with microwave. Staff were helpful. They need to have some form of calling the rooms though. I had trouble tracking down a few guests we were staying with.

Looks horrible from the outside, completely depressing and inside it hasn't been updated since the 50's. Dark with old carpets. My room wasn't clean, there was hair in the bathroom and dust everywhere. The service was awful, Adam had messed up my booking and was extremely rude. And to top it all off a generator would switch on between 4.30 and 6.30am which made it impossible to sleep. DO NOT STAY HERE, premiere inn is in same price range and much better.

A bit cheaply decorated but clean and the shower was fantastic. booked last minute and was £35 for room though they do take a fifty pound deposit with room fee but that was repaid when we did not break the rules! Friendly helpful staff and you can buy a 225ml bottle of carlesberg for £1.30 bargain. Ideal location for city and belgrade theatre would recommend.
