Very friendly staff. Spotlessly clean and room in very good condition. Bed and pillows very comfy.Able to change temp in room very easilly, was bit chilly when first went in but soon warmed up. Only criticism, had to pay for wi-fi after the first 30 mins. Would definately make this hotel first stay choice in futu

As with the majority of Premier Inn chains, I received great service from the staff, had a high quality bed and pillow, clean room and satisfying stay.

Would recommend this hotel, along with any other Premier Inn I have stayed in.

Oh, and it only cost me £29!! Beat that.

Overnight for the NEC. Couldn't fault the staff welcome and the rooms to match. As has been seen on another review, Taybarns was what you would expect from an all to eat for a fixed price eatery. The clientel matched the price, plates/cutlery were not the cleanest but food was OK. Staff were a bit loud behind the servery and some shortages on the food choice, that said, we sat there for 4hrs and enjoyed our food and wine without being hurried out of the place. Close to NEC, thats why we chose it. would use the hotel again but maybe go elsewhere to eat?

Room Tip: Some overnight lorries at the hotel rear parked up and left early, maybe try the hotel front?

Overnight stay for expo at Ricoh Arena. Only a ten-minute drive to the next junction and the stadium. Other nearby hotels were fully booked, I did wonder if this meant that the PI was being deliberately avoided. However, any trepidation was soon dispelled. Thurs night stay, following a weekend at the PI at Southampton Airport PI - itself an excellent, plush hotel in every respect. Consequently, Coventry had a hard act to follow and they were not found too wanting. I have stayed in far more expensive hotels over the years and many do not come close to matching PI. Consistently and unfailingly courteous, a simple, efficient process, always clean, comfortable (bar one time, which was refunded without fuss) and cost-effective. The only real gamble on each occasion is the quality of the adjoining restaurant. I agree with comments here. Taybarns is a bit down-market and cold. My colleague and I opted for Nandos just across the car park (hotel on an industrial estate/leisure park), equally busy but more inviting. We went back to Taybarns for a last drink and it had loud locals in at the bar: unappealing if you want an intimate evening. Eating area is huge. Certainly clean in the morning for breakfast and the early shift staff were excellent. Burned croissants and overly milky scrambled eggs, but rest was fine, though. Lighting in room is a bit harsher than others I have stayed in, but these are minor gripes.

Room Tip: Always choose the top floor: most PI's have creaky flooring. And pre-order an iron/board if staying at a busier venue.
