Had 2 adult & 2 children's meals and 3 drinks cost£67.00 nearly broke tooth on bone in burger meat and full of gristle and sons ale pie over done and chewy meat with no gravy in it. Had better pukka pies won't go again and not reccomended. Good job we had good night at pantomime or night would have been ruined.

We ate at this restaurant after the Theatre Matinee performance on Saturday 29th December 2012.

The service was slow and the staff uninterested in our custom.

The food that came was very poor quality. The £17 steak my wife ordered as rare, came well done, clearly the cooking staff have no idea how to prepare a steak. My fish cakes tasted of anything but fish and were grainy and bland. We were a table of 7 and no one enjoyed the food. We declined desserts to exit as soon as possible with no plan to return.

Over-priced, poor quality trash riding on the coat tails of its proximity to the theatre.

With so many good restaurants in the area my advice is shop around for better quality for less money.

This was my fiance and I's first visit to the restaurant just before a ballet at the Hippodrome.
Its location is a definitive positive, as the theatre is directly in front of the restaurant. The booking process was a pain - the online service didn't work and you have to wait forsometime on the phone to get through. But Iiked the "tickets" that was posted to us after booking the restaurant.

The restuarant was warm and welcoming. I loved the decor and setup of the place. Staff are friendly and efficient. The food was good, maybe some limited choices on the menu. Highly recommend the chips....wow, best we've ever tasted.

I would visit this place again.

We booked here for a pre-show meal this week. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For starters they spotted straight away that my father-in-law has mobility problems and informed us of the ground floor WC facilities without being asked. We booked our table for 17:30 hrs prior to a 19:30 show and this was plenty of time for a leisurely 3 course meal.

The menu was not extensive but very good and had something for all tastes from pasta to pizza and steaks as well as pies or fish and chips. The presentation was excellent, and all of our party commented on the great taste and quality of the food.

For a group of 6 with 3 courses and drinks our bill came to about £120. Worth every penny and you must try the dark chocolate brownie desert, it was the best i've ever tasted! My wife described this place as "the quality of a good class resturant without the expensive bills".

Before we attended the show at the Birmingham Hippodrome, We reserved a table at the STAGESIDE restaurant following Trip Advisor reviews. While this a Brasserie it was excellent the staff were very obliging, meal was good, good seating leather furniture to retire to for coffee etc. Meal good value for money. We required a taxi after the show to take us to our hotel, the waiter advised us to return back to the STAGESIDE after the show. Which we did we were able to watch fans of the performers gathering out side the stage door to see if the could get a glimps of their favourite star on leaving the theatre. Most importantly the waiter went that extra mile in Customer care called a taxi which arrived in 5 mins. I can reccommend this Brasserie to be visited. We will return back on our next visit to birmingham
