Description: Perfect for pre-show meals, Strada is located within the famous International Convention Centre in Birmingham. This popular Italian restaurant chain is famous for its authentic handmade pizzas - which are cooked in a traditional forno a legna wood-fired oven – and its extensive menu of rustic, regional pastas and puddings are made using only the finest fresh ingredients such as Parma ham, extra virgin olive oil and Buffalo mozzarella imported from Italy. Perfect for business lunches and cosy evening meals, you can’t go wrong with Strada’s successful formula of simple, tasty food combined with sleek design, friendly service and a buzzy, down-to-earth atmosphere. The proof, as they say, is in the pizza.

We tried for a change from Ask and Pizza Express. It's more of an adult dining experience and feels a tad more upmarket - i'd recommend for older children if you're going as a family. Service was quick and to a high standard. The ingredients were of a higher quality than Ask and PE. Enjoyed our meals but they went cold quickly as the plates weren't heated. Pizzas were a bit challenging to cut for kids - would have been better if they'd offered.

My wife and I visited here last Sunday around 3ish and had a great couple of hours drinking and dining. We ordered entrée tomato-pesto flat-breads and olives. Both of these arrived quickly with drinks (peroni and coffee) and were delicious. My main of beef, very well prepared and cooked, and salad was marvellous. Unfortunate my wife, who's a vegetarian found a couple of piece of pancetta in her salad, so she was less then happy until they replaced it with and second generous spinach salad, with various salad-y extras. They also didn't charge us for her main. Desert was the tiramisu and then a kind of chocolate pana-cotta, both lush. All in all very tasty, served in good in time well recovered from the mishap. Cheers

Ten of us went for our Pre Christmas office meal , on the evening of 19/12/12. We had attentive staff certainly , but they lacked finese and a good understanding of English, When I pointed out my meal was missing any potatoes, unlike those who had selected the same meal as me. My plate was eventually returned with an absolute field of potatoes.
The wine was fine and reasonably priced,
As the restaurant was barely 25% full it lacked atmosphere, and certainly wasn't a night of pre Christmas celebration. It seemed more of a lunch time venue to me

Have dined here several time and always found the food and service very good. Dined on New Years Eve on a fixed price menu and could not fault it. Food, service and the saxophonist were outstanding.

This restaurant is desperately in need of refurbishment. The globe light fittings and worn bench seating are straight out of the 1980s.
Our experience was not enhanced by being given a table in the doorway of the Gents lavatory, and by two power cuts of several minutes each while we were eating the main course.
The food was perfectly acceptable and reasonable value for money. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient. Overall there was nothing to complain about, but equally nothing to get excited about.
