Myself and my boyfriend stayed here from 13th to 15th October. We were both travelling from different ends of the country (as my boyfriend works in Cumbia), me from Wales and him from Cumbria and both found the hotel really easy to get too.
We had a king room (room 202) which was massive!!! There was a king sized bed, chair in corner of room, desk with tv and radio, tea and coffee making facilities and storage space. The bathroom was also huge with a toilet, basin, bath and over bath shower. We could not fault it one bit.
Breakfast was included in the stay. There was a wedding party staying at the hotel on the Saturday and so breakfast on the Sunday morning was very busy. There was plenty to chose from (toast, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, croissants, muffins, yougurts, as well as tea, coffee and fruit juice) and plenty available. The staff were in and out of the kitchen making sure there was enough there and restocking bread and milk etc when needed.
The hotel is just a short distance away from the Star City complex. There is plenty to do here, with lots of places to eat to suit all. There is also a cinema, casino, mini golf and 10 pin bowling alley here. Enough to keep everyone amused! It is also just a short drive (about 10 mins or so) to the Bull Ring shopping centre.
We would recommend this hotel to everyone and will be returning. We paid a bargain price and had parking (for two cars) and breakfast included. Service was fab and is close enough to everything that we needed for our short stay!

Excellent all round. Recommend the euro car park about 3mins walk away. Central location. Brilliant all round. Good breakfast. Don't let the outside look put u off. The inside is modern and good decir

Me and my partner spent two nights here in October, we were celebrating our anniversary and spent a few nights away from home.

On arrival our check in was simple and easy, went up to our room which we found easily enough. Only downside is that the receptionist called up to say my card had been rejected, only for her to call back up minutes later saying its now gone though in the same card. Not a big issue but I was rushing to get ready and could have done without the double disturbance.

The room itself was clean with a huge bed, plenty of drinks facilities and an iron and ironing board and then the normal room mod cons including a hairdryer and lcd tv. It was clean and well maintained! We were happily surprised with the bathroom too with having moisturiser, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers and a seat in the shower.

Breakfast was more than I expected. After reading a few reviews before I went, most people said the plates where too small. The plates where normal size and got plenty of foid in it. There was more than enough choice and food on offer. I missed out on the bacon as it did seem popular. But there was white and brown bread for toast, a wide variety of cereals, jams, teas, coffees, juice, milk, scrambles egg, bacon, sasuages, hash browns and beans. Also croissants and muffins!

Only downside is that the staff could have been more efficient in cleaning up after guests having their breakfast but it was busy!

Other bonuses us that the bed was so comfy, I slept like a baby and woke naturally to the morning light. Again nothing to fault in the rooms really, more tv channels is all I can think if.

A taxi to the Hippodtome in Birmingham cost £8, we were ripped off on the way back paying £13.50, and I believe the taxi man took us the wrong way round. Most probably as we dont sound local, where not but I have lived in Birmingham before and recognised a few shops/bars we passed and knew it wasnt the quickest way!

The hotel is located a 10 minute walk to star city which has restaurants, a cinema, a bowling alley, mini golf etc etc

Overall I would stay here again especially as it was such a quiet nights sleep. Alot if places in Birmingham where we've stayed you cant sleep due to traffic and outside noise.

Me and my friend stayed here for one night 13th October. We had tickets for Ray Davies at Symphony Hall. Entrance to the hotel was quite difficult to find but once we found it check in was efficient. Without exception all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Bed was comfy but the pillows were awful. The breakfast which was included in the room rate was really good. The only problem we found was the distance to the town; we spent the same on taxis as what the hotel cost. With hindsight we should have booked the Hampton by Hilton on Broad Street to save on taxi fares. There didn't seem to be any fixed rate for the journey; one taxi driver asked us what we usually paid!!! I think if the hotel are using a certain cab firm they should at least have some sort of set price for hotel customers.
