“No frills and no thrills”

Stayed here a number of times for two day business meetings in the area. Very rare that there isn't some problem with the rooms, but also they tend to have dubious stains and marks everywhere. The room quality varies largely. Breakfast is also not very well stocked and it is hard to get all cutlery plates and a full breakfast without having to ask for something that is missing. Good service in the bar though.

Difficult to find, car park close by but expensive.Crumbling stairs leading to the entrance so first impresion is a definite NO.Staff pleasant enough.Room not very clean and 'holy 'carpet. We have stayed in the room facing sidewalk and as there was no net curtain, everybody could look inside.Only one towel for two of us,had to ask for extra.Because of the outside noise had to keep the window closed all the time .Not good in a hot weather! Won't stay there again!

This hotel was clean and tidy and in a very good location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside to this hotel is the rooms are very hot! Most of the rooms back onto internal 'courtyards' that have a roof covering like a conservatory... So the rooms are very very humid with no airflow, so I dont think I would stay here again when its hot weather.

Room Tip: If you're staying in the summer months try and get a room where the window is on the main road...

Staff and room was fine :) I were in and out within 9 hours as i finished work late, and started work early the following day. Were very tired so just knocked off straight away, glad i did as when i were checking out there were people complaining about noise last night felt really sorry for the poor girl who was on her own. More staff needed!!

Stayed here on 7th July for an overnight stay to visit Cadbury World. Five Ways train station is only a 10 min walk. Only 15 min walk to centre of Birmingham. 10 min walk to canal area (beautiful spot) on way to Birmingham centre.

Travelodge itself was very clean and comfortable, great value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely seating area outside. No noise considering outside is Frankie and Benny's, Odeon, Bowling and Casino all at your fingertips and we had a front room ovelooking it all.

Would definitely stay again!

Stayed here esentially just to go out on Broad Street. However, even with the alcohol to help us sleep, people outside on the walkway were shouting loudly constantly. They really should not have placed rooms so near to a pedestrian walkway. Additionally, the rooms are very hot and stuffy in the summer, with very little ventilation. Apart from this, it was average overall as cheap and clean, location OK for Broad St but a bit far for city centre generally.

Room Tip: Away from the front (cinema side)
