“A great family day out”
Reviewed January 7, 2013 via mobile

We visited on January 2nd this year and it was our second visit. Our daughters are aged 5 and 7 and there is just so much for them to do. We took part in kitchen science experiments, visited the hands on human body section, did arts and crafts, saw the big engines etc. was all great fun and they were learning too. I love the little doctors surgery and cafe area. Great for a wide age range. They loved phoning each other in the different sections. The water play area great too. The garden was closed for winter but looked great an we were given a free pass to return to it in the summer. A well priced for what u get day out.

Thank Nat E

“Fun fun fun!”

A wonderful day out with lots of activities. If you go during the school holidays, there is an animal man with lots of cool cretures and animals. They also offer discounts for students and disable. Great rold play activities, with a doctors surgery, cafe, garage and dentist for the kids. They will love the role play, is great equipment. Water activities. space room where you can see the stars overhead, absolutely beautiful and also a live talking robot that imitates you!
There is also old trains and lots and lots of interesting fact to learn. Great learning and playing day for the whole family.

“Kids loved it.”
Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

Spent virtually a full day here, and my 10 year olds never got bored. Loads of good hands on activities. A bit disappointed that the all weather garden is closed for winter. The exhibits are varied, hands on and well presented. I am a science teacher and was inspired, by quite a lot of them. Shame its too far to bring a school trip from North Yorkshire. The planetarium show we saw was great.
I did think the entrance fee was quite high, but we used Tesco vouchers, so it was a bargain!

“Good trip”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Took my 10 year old son whilst visiting friends in the area. We had a great time there.

Did get busier as the day progressed and very noisy.

Went to a science demonstration in the lab which was interactive.

Admission prices reasonable. Would go again

Everything has been thought of here with so much to do for people and kids of all areas, my little ones loved splashing in the water exhibits and took me ages to get them to move on, maybe the museum good inset in some better or more aprons as they were soon gone.

Cannot really fault this place, e erythig was great, defiantly worth a visit even if your not into science you will enjoy it
