“A wonderful Day”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

We hired a room at the hotel for a Special Meeting. The hotel was excellent. All the facilities requested were available. On arriving at hotel reception the concierge immediately asked how he could help, you didn’t have to look for anyone..

We had a buffet lunch in the room. The food was of a very high standard, very fresh and tasty and the selection was great.

The refreshments were in abundance throughout the day and the selections were vast, every type of tea and coffee you could think of, as much water as required. The morning snacks consisted of a fruit bowl and Danish pastries which we could help ourselves to as much as we wanted and was replenished constantly. the afternoon we were provided with double deckers and millionaires short bread which was presented on platters and melted in your mouth. The assistant to our room was super efficient and couldn’t do enough to help.

I would definitely recommend it again.

Room Tip: As this was only a day event, no one stayed at the hotel, so we cannot comment on those facilities...

Dear Yvonne N,

Thank you kindly for taking the time to write some fantastic feedback on us. We have received your feedback direct also, so again sincere thanks to you.

We do pride ourselves on our Meeting and events, and we are constantly looking at ways to be creative and inspire for our guests. With Radisson Blu, we also have the experience meetings guidelines, however are flexible in what we offer, so while double deckers and millionaire caramel cake might not be the most healthiest, they are something to nibble on in the afternoon.

Thank you kindly for the feedback on your host who was looking after your group. The team have been together for a while now, and whilst a young team, the care they have, I could not ask for much more.

Thank you kindly, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel. Next time we will have some different break ideas which I am sure you will enjoy!.

Warm regards,
Allan Wilson

We booked three rooms from Friday 18th January for two nights which were non refundable but unfortunately it snowed heavily and could not make it. Phoned the hotel who were extremely kind and changed our dates due to the bad weather.
The rooms were well kept and we had a fantastic view of the city which was walking distance to the bullring. Good variety of food were available for breakfast as well. We parked the car in the NCP car park which was behind the hotel. As everywhere were walking distance, we didn't use the car at all...result!!!

I stay in hotels often, check in by Christina efficient, hotel was busy but no delays, upgraded to a corner room on the 15th floor, for a city centre location no street noise. Location fantastic for the station and attractions of the city centre. Nice personal touches too, hotel always recognises guests who have used previously, special mention and thanks must go to sarah too

If you are missing 1980's East Berlin this is the place to stay. Eastern bloc decor and service.
15 minute wait to check in. Tired rooms. Tiny TV. Clinically cold bathroom. Surly staff at breakfast. Reception staff had a rude efficiency. £200 per night. Never again.

Room Tip: Avoid. There are much better hotels in Birmingham.

We were upgraded to an executive corner room, view was fantastic! The room smelt damp and had stains on the carpets shower over the bath was pretty poor for an executive room should have walk in shower. Breakfast was complete rubbish, Buffett was one of the worst I have had every thing was hard and cold should have gone to the local cafe. Never mind it's only money.

The hotel is in great location near the train station and the bull ring, shopping and food areas. The need of inserting the room key to operate the elevator is annoying and make you feel unsafe although the area does not feel unsafe even late at night. The room is reasonable size for a major European city, the bed was comfortable, it was nice to know that hand held detachable shower is in every bathroom. I wish they replace the one soap but it was easy to buy a small bar in a nearby store. Free WiFi, very small Flat screen digital TV but adequate. Complimentary Tea and Coffee in room but you pay for everything else in the room. Our room was high and quiet. we stayed 2 night, 30 minute Taxi ride to airport. Definite repeater.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your recent stay! I am glad you were satisfied overall with the service.

In respect to the key cards, the majority of hotels encourage this now to prevent non residents disturbing hotel guests, I understand this is somewhat a repetitive exercise after a while!

I am happy to see you will be returning! We are ready and waiting for your next booking.

Best,
