Nice pub, friendly service, and wonderful bangers! They have a really good selection of sausages from A.W. Lashford & sons Butchers which are my favourites. Some of the bangers they offer are really difficult to find in any other pub in Birmingham. Lovely and fresh pub food!

What a great bunch the staff are! . Yesterday, I enquired whether there was a quiet corner where 15 or so members of my orienteering club could meet to hand out prizes for the event we had just finished. The pub was busy with their regular very popular Thursday night quiz, but rather than turn us away they opened up the function room. They were also doing 2-for-1 pizza which we all enjoyed.
Super atmosphere - great pub!

We live a few yards from the QA and at first sight it looks like the sort of pub that would make a good "local."

Sadly, it seems this is not to be. We've eaten there a few times; previously having reasonable burgers and some grazing plates which were OK and good value.

Yesterday, however, we had pizzas which were dry and tasteless. Mine was the Giamaicano which contains peppers, jerk chicken and chillies but was bland and tasteless. Quite how they managed that with all those ingredients escapes me.

Worst of all was the garlic bread. This was served a good 5 minutes after the pizzas and was just a cold, dry baguette with a minimal amount of garlic. Horrible!

The staff seem to be constantly changing. The barmaid who served us was very friendly and willing but inexperienced. Amongst other things, she said they didn't have any bottled beers, only lagers and ciders. I wasn't sure that was correct: there is large range of bottles behind the bar, some of which looked like beers, but I couldn't read the labels and she was adamant they were all ciders.

They also had only one card machine, so there was a queue of people waiting to pay by card.

Sadly, not a great place to drink and a very poor one if you want to eat....

Me and my friends visited Birmingham this weekend for a night out. We visited this pub at night time for a bite to eat. It was busy due to the football match being shown therefore we didn't expect our food to be served quickly. The food came within 40 mins which was acceptable on a busy night.

The next day we returned for breakfast in good time before our train was due to leave. We ordered our breakfasts (4) and there was no problem or indication of a waiting time.

30 minutes later we asked if our food was on its way. Another 10 minutes and the manager approached us to ask if we would like a refund of the food but, "it should only be 10 minutes".

Believing her story we waited. We then waited another half an hour before there was any sign if any food.

Their excuse was they were very busy...we were the only people in the pub ordering food. I noticed the manager running to the kitchen with a bag of food. They obviously did not have enough food for our breakfast but instead continuously lied to us about the wait for our food.

2 hours after ordering we received the final breakfasts 5 minutes before we needed to leave. One staff member was very apologetic, however the rest did not see the problem.

The food itself is nice but the service was appalling. Will not return.
