“Everyone should experience T20 finals day”
Reviewed August 19, 2013 via mobile

Visited Edgbaston for T20 finals day for a second time. This is the most fabulous day out - we saw 3 matches totalling over 900 runs and 35 wickets. The atmosphere is electric and I can thoroughly recommend the Eric Hollies stand provided you are not expecting polite clapping and murmurs of appreciation - it is a rather full- blooded experience. T20 is not proper cricket but plays a vitally important role within the game. Compare T20 finals to a Lord's test and the amazing variety within this great sport is remarkable. Finals Day is an essential experience for hardened cricket fans AND those who have never watched the game before. Edgbaston is a superb venue which handles the unusual challenges of the day admirably - even when the weather makes life difficult.

“Enjoyable Evening”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Its been an age since I've watched any live cricket, but I got the chance to see an evening 20/20 game here in the relative comfort of an executive box and was really quite impressed. It is a great venue and looking down across the pitch as Warwickshire slogged it out with Somerset, I remembered why being at a live match can be so much fun. Of course it helped that it was a wonderfully warm and sunny evening, although Somerset might have had the courtesy not to win. Getting in with a car is pretty easy, but as with all of these venues getting out takes a good half-hour of motoring mayhem. Never mind, it was worth it. Not been to a cricket match for a while? Try a 20/20 at Edgbaston: it has my recommendation.

“Decent but others are better”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

As one of our test match grounds Edgbaston is ok: plenty of roadside parking if you get there early enough: what it lacks is local cafes on the door step for breakfast. Inside catering typically expensive. Views are good & in stand we were located leg room was adequate. New stand is impressive. For some reason though it lacks the atmosphere of such as Lords, Trent Bridge: cannot put my finger on why, but it is not my first choice on the circuit.

“Good venue”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Visited yesterday, in comparison to other cricketing venues in the UK this was more friendly to supporters, low queues for toilets and easy access to seats.
Buses ply from the station to the venue though we tended to park in some off road parking nearby offered by residents for £15
The stalls were a shade paler in comparison to the stalls at Lords and Trent bridge. There was a less advertised curry stall towards the back which served great curry
The staff were really courteous and worked hard to make the ICC a great event

“Bowled over”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

One small gripe about this ground was the amount of time spent queuing to get in. After that it was nearly all up hill with seats that offered a great views and efficient bars, eateries and smallish toilet queues. Unfortunately the food served was some of the worst I have tasted at a sporting event.
