Stayed for a few nights at this Guest House for a visit to the NEC and the City Centre. A genuine and very friendly welcome; bright and sunny room at the front of the property, homely atmosphere with free access to kitchen facilities and a generous "Do-it-Yourself" Continental Breakfast: a very good selection of juice, fruits, yoghurts, cereals and a variety of breads.
Ideal location for the NEC, just a short drive away and City Centre easily accessible too.
Good range of options for evening meals near the guest house, ranging from pub, to take-away or even a mini-supermarket with option to micro wave something in the kitchen at the guest house.
Home away from home. Clean and comfortable rooms - would stay again in spite of disappointing sleep quality: we had the ONLY room WITHOUT double glazing, so there was road traffic noise all night long.
Vertical blinds not blocking out the street lighting sufficiently and an internal window shared with the central stairwell meant the room was (unavoidably) lit up every time other guests arrived during the night!
Earplugs and aeroplane style eye-shades are a must for this particular room if you are a light sleeper - although the other rooms (WITH double-glazing) seemed a lot quieter.
