Went on the weekend based upon reviews in TripAdvisor and wasn't dissappointed. The breakfasts came hot and freshly cooked and everything tasted as you'd expect. Really good value for money. We had a bit of a wait for it to arrive, but that was fine, since we'd already started with coffee and tea and were quite happy to watch the world going by on the canalside. Jimmy apologised for the wait (which I didn;t see as a problem to be honest) and supplied additional complimentry drinks (coffee and I chose orange juice). Excellent customer service and look forward to going again soon. Was a bit reluctant to write a review, since I didn't want to advertise how good it was and then find it too crowded on our next visit, but it certainly deserves all the positive reviews that have been given.

The food here is gorgeous. Always cooked and prepared to the highest standard, with friendly staff and clean décor, it's a place I'd recommend to anybody. Being canalside is a nice bonus, too!

Since opening last year this has fast become our regular weekend breakfast haunt. The menu is simple and unpretentious but ingredients are sourced locally and the quality is excellent. My favourite lunchtime treat is the steak and watercress in a bun, the peppery cress set off perfectly with sweet caramelised onion. unbeatable both in terms of taste and value for money. Don't be put off by the unassuming exterior. Basically the end of a warehouse building that's shared with the neighbouring roadhouse music club. From the pershore road end it's easily overlooked - only insiders seem to find it (past the hand car wash and tumble tots gym). the more picturesque approach route is from the Birmingham canal footpath and there are handy moorings at the other canalside linking to the cafe by a footbridge. Once you've made the effort to find this hidden gem you'll be rewarded with friendly service and excellent food.
