We went back again for lunch mid-week. Very clean, friendly and welcoming pub. Open fire lit downstairs, heating on upstairs, made to feel at home and looked after by efficient and caring staff. This time there was 5 of us, so we sat upstairs where there is more space. Great value for delicious food. Highly recommended, we will definitely return soon.

Been here loads of times, always been great with food! Sundays are very busy and there is normally a bit of a wait for a table and then for food but still not as bad as their sister venue. When it comes, meat is always juicy and tasty, veg always well cooked and very well priced. Had steaks here on a Monday a few times too, again well cooked and good quality. Love this place!!

Came here for Sunday lunch. We arrived around 12.15pm as I had heard that this place gets very busy. We managed to get a table downstairs which seemed quite small. As I did not venture upstairs, I am not sure what the capacity is. There were plenty of people who going up there but I think they had reservations.

IWe ordered the slow roast pork belly (£11.95) and veggie roast dinner (£8.95). There was a 20 minute wait until our food came out.

Great sized portions with roast potatoes, mash potato, roast carrots and parsnips, red cabbage, kale and Yorkshire pudding.

I was completely stuffed but my friend ordered the brownie dessert (£3.95). It looked very nice and he seemed to enjoy it!

Ate here with a group of friends and we all had a great meal along with a great couple of drinks.
Service was okay - the staff didn't seem overly friendly and seemed much happier giving all their time to the regulars.
