Really enjoyed our Drunch sitting outside in lovely sunshine. Myself and my sister had the 2 course set meat which was excellent (garlic prawns followed by Sea Bream Niciose) and our husbands really enjoyed their all day breakfast with sides of fat chips. The other member of our party tucked into the burger and fries. We enjoyed the house white wine. The girl that served us was really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Due to technical problems on our initial visit we arranged for an afternoon visit after some shopping. On arrival we were greeted and quickly seated , the ambiance is so french bistro ;ish nearly called the waiter a Garcon. Enjoyed the starter and this was followed by mains .Chicken Kiev was crispy and succulent at the same time and the twice cooked chips were soft and crunchy. So getting it right seems to be a mark of a good kitchen .. Dessert Creme Caramel , again crispy and soft. They sure are good at getting the textures right. All in all a great place to enjoy food with a twist and the buzzing atmosphere of a bistro.

Hats off to the team - Alianna, Lucy, Tim and particularly Marc who ensured we had a memorable and enjoyable dinner recently! There's always a good selection of exceptionally reasonable priced and tasty dishes to chose from. Recommend trying out some of their inventive cocktails or visit on a Tuesday when they have a specials menu where you can enjoy several courses and accompanying wine per course from a specific French Region.

I had never heard of Le Truc before, and we stumbled across it by accident as The Arcadian was busy. It was mid afternoon and we had just missed the set menu lunchtime deal. However the food was excellent and great value even without the lunchtime deal. I had the caviar gratin for a starter and the chicken kiev for main. The chicken kiev was on the bone which was an interesting twist, and although the gratin was smaller than the other starter, there was more than enough and I found I did not have room for a pudding.
We both found the staff attentive and very friendly. As it was mid afternoon and after lunch the restaurant was quiet however there a few other diners dotted around. Service was prompt and I asked the gentleman who seemed to be in charge about the artwork which was interesting and he was well informed. So we both enjoyed it and subsequently went back to enjoy the lunchtime special a few weeks later
