Cafe Boutique is exactly what Harborne High Street was crying out for, a pleasant, good value cafe with great coffee and lovely food and cakes prepared on site.

We will definitely be visiting again! This is such a gem.

Very happy to have found this little gem. Fatma hanim is a magician in the kitchen, ate probably one of the best gozleme, baklava and omlettes in my life. A must visit for all brummies.

It's discerning from the outside - one would think it's a little cafe up a few steps- but once inside it's an oasis of calm and tranquility selling the most delicious cakes and lunches. There's a lovely garden area at the back and indeed you can drive in at the side of Fisher's but there's only a few spaces. Opposite Marks and Spencer is ideal. Well worth a visit.

I'm in a good position to review this place as it's right next to my office (but bad news for the waist line!)

Unremarkable from the outside, so what's great about this tea room/coffee shop?

Well first off it's got that real personal touch. The owners are Turkish and the place has a real homely feel to it (it's decorated with lots of authentic Turkish bits and bobs, brought over by the owners personally from Istanbul).

You can have the usual coffee and cake fayre (all top quality), with Turkish additions to tempt the palate. And what additions! Depending on what's been going on in the kitchen you can try lokum, halva, baklava and other Turkish sweets and desserts. And if it's mains you're after, then gözleme or börek may be on the menu, as well as the usual baguettes with lovely homemade fillings. Whatever you have, it'll be nicely presented and for sure, just what you'd be offered if you were in the owners' own homes.

And secondly the staff are helpful and friendly and the prices make it great value.

And last, but not least, there's a pretty patio area out the back, with awnings if the sun's too strong.

So, what's not to like? Go on, try it.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this quaint little coffee shop in Harborne one rainy day. I soon returned with a Turkish friend to verify the authenticity, she had a great conversation (in Turkish) with the staff and was impressed by the coffee.

The food is also great, once i turned up at closing time, the owner recognised me and was kind enough to stay open just for me and friend to have a coffee and cake.
The decor is chic, it has a Parisian feel to it, very "art deco" however there are Turkish lamps made of dried pumpkins, and i was told that this a traditional Turkish decoration.
... and the presentation of the coffee is just fabulous.

Its not easy to find, however the entrance is up a few steps, its next to M&S.
