Nice hotel, good rooms and lovely breakfast. Car park was full so use Tennant Street which has car parks but be prepared to pay. The hotel is very nice but you have to use lifts to access vitually everthing, there are stairs but not really not good if you are on a higher floor. I don't like lifts and the hotel put me in on a lower floor. Convenient for all venues but be warned...its busy and we had a waiting time of over an hour in all restaurants we tried so give yourselves plenty of time...all in all we enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpfull.

Room Tip: Access via Tennant Street and take lots of change for parking just in case

We stayed at the Hampton on 18 Jan as we wanted to stay in a decent hotel not far from the NIA as we were going to see the Strictly Come Dancing show. Have to say the hotel is superb. We were allocated a room on the 17th floor and the views were fantastic. Our room was very stylish & modern. Great shower! They even have pump dispensers on the wall for shower gel, shampoo & conditioner! We parked in the hotel car park which was safe and very secure. Breakfast was included which was very good......and all for £46! This will be our first choice of hotel the next time we stay in Birmingham

A stay at this hotel is all about getting as many people in as possible. Reception is a 'process' rather than a welcoming experience and we were ignored for some time while staff chatted. The rooms are good but not an extra inch of space other than the bare minimum has been given. Very much a 3-star experience although we are always happy with the breakfast (sausages excepted). Overall a good place to stay but don't expect any luxuries.

Had a great stay here - relatively inexpensive, good (though smallish) room with all the facilities, adequate buffet breakfast and a good (24 hour) bar area. The place is newly opened so everything still has that new gleam, but it runs efficiently - I saw no 'teething troubles'. Friendly staff who knew what they were doing.
The brand is interesting - big in the States, where someone said it has a motel feel (and this hotel has its own car park) but here I'd put it as a slightly upmarket Ibis - the general manager of this place, when we got chatting one night, was only half joking when he said they aimed to be a very good B&B - but it's much more than that!
Walking distance of the centre of Birmingham, within easy reach of lots of adequate restaurants, and though Broad Street itself is still very tacky, it's crowded enough not to present any problems - and I think it's going up-market with major hotel chains setting up along the street.
You could do much worse for a mid-range option.

This Hampton seems to be in a converted office building, but thatch no real issue as its been very well converted and it does put in a very central location. This is the first time I have used a Hampton and wast sure what to expect. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are a decent size and well equipped, good sized walk in shower and tastefully decorated and even had an iron and board in the room. I was in a room on the 16th floor so didn't really suffer from outside/road noise although some could still be heard it certainly wasn't intrusive. The bed was comfy with a choice of pillows and the air conditioning could be adjusted or turned off completely. The staff where friendly and helpful. The only real drawback is that they don't have a proper restaurant, although you can get a variety of bar snacks, if you want something else you need to venture out. However breakfasts are well catered for and being free you cant really complain. WiFi worked fine even being free it didn't appear to be capped in anyway and no email harvesting login either.

All in all I was quite happy with the hotel and would use it again if in that area.

We went on Sunday until Monday and checked in about 4pm. I requested a high floor room and when booking in was well pleased we got the top floor (17). They handed me the key and then said sorry our mistake the room isnt ready yet. They then gave us a different room (floor 14). Wasnt sure why the room wasnt ready as check in was from 2pm and we arrived at 4pm. Anyway I was a bit disappointed as it was a request. Overall the room we stayed in was a bit on the small size but ideal for 2 people. Luckly we didnt have the kids as you wouldnt of been able to fit in a cot. I have stayed here before and got a bigger room so it may have been because we were given a corner room this time.

The room was warm and cosy and very clean. The bathroom was great and shower really hot. All the hotels I have stayed in I always seem to have trouble with the air con/heating but this is the easiest ever. They have 3 lifts and they are so fast that you are not waiting long.

Breakfast is on the 3rd floor and is buffet style. It was fresh and hot and lots to choose from. The staff were great and friendly and offered a Good Morning when you arrived. The parking is secure and cost £10.

Room Tip: Corner rooms seem to be smaller.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your thoughts, please accept my apologies for any confusion upon check in, indeed 2pm is our check in time so I will certainly be looking into the reasons behind the delay on this occasion, I'm glad to see you still enjoyed your visit though, and we look forward to seeing you again in the very near future.

Stayed here with friends in a room for 3. Brilliant hotel, the room was huge and the location was great for the bars and clubs we went to. Very clean, and a fantastic bathroom. Friendly staff and service and the price of the room was a bargain. Would definitely stay here again!
