We were in Birmingham for a two day Concert and shopping break.
Check in was effortless, our room was clean and tidy and all of the staff that we spoke to could not have been more friendly.
We did not hear any noise from other rooms.
We did not eat in so we can't comment on the restaurant or bar.

My wife and I have spent many Fir/Sat nights at this hotel on long weekends. Wherever you go Premier inns are clean and tidy, with comfy beds and the basic facilities and this is no exception. Always know what you are getting. This one is ideally sited within easy walking distance of the city centre, New St, Broad St and the canalside pubs. Quiet safe, good, convenient parking. There is lots to see and do in Birmingham. Good shops and some convivial pubs where all ages mix even on a Saturday night. We'll be back for more.

Room Tip: Standard advice for any hotel-Pick a room away from the lift and stairs and you will not be bothered...

I stayed with my friend for a 2 night break. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It's just on a side street off the bustle of Broad St with ample bars and restaurants.
The hotel is dated. Our room was a tiny twin. The kettle didn't turn off. It was noisy and cold. The walls were paper thin and at 6.30am the room next door were up. That was our lie in gone. I had a disposable shower cap with me. It disappeared on the second day. Small things I know, but they impact. The staff were friendly enough but we didn't get any of the usual Premier Inn patter - wifi, restaurant, good night policy etc
A little disappointing. I'd go for an alternative next time.

No longer up to it's usual standards and with the additional cost of parking (£5.00 per day) plus breakfast, etc, it is no longer a 'budget hotel'.
The first room we were offered had no clothes rail...it had been torn out and the next room had a light not working.
Although it is a double room there was only one bath towel which meant a trip down to reception for more towels as we would be charged 10p if we rang reception even though we would have to use our own phone!
The room was small and cramped, the duvet cover was ripped, and there was barely enough toilet paper! We had dinner there the second night and waited for well over an hour for our food.
All in all, in our opinion it's no longer the hotel it used to be.

My wife & I visited Birmingham recently for a show at the NIA. We had booked this hotel well in advance & arrived just after 10:15 am. We were instructed that check in was not until 14:00 but our car could be parked in their car park at a charge of £5 per 24 hours (something that was not on the website). We utilised our early arrival to discover Broad Street & the canal area before heading to the Bullring shopping centre & markets. We found Birmingham to be a lovely vibrant city with so much to do. We made our way back to the hotel to check in which was swift & painless & went off to our allocated room on the 1st floor. Our room was rather cold & plain looking. White washed walls, 2 single beds push together to make a double, digital tv, shower/wc, open wardrobe with tea/coffee making facilities (only 2 tea bags but at reception they will gladly give you more on request). The heating in the room was a bit hit-&-miss with the wall heater working intermittently. We used the hotel bar after our show which closed at 23:30 which wasn't a problem as we had made provisions for such a scenario. Check out next morning was easy, we left before 09:00 but check out is generally up to midday. Sleep quality was not great as there was noise coming from the canal tow-path & there seemed to be lots of banging of doors from within the hotel. All-in-all I would return to this hotel if I was to visit Birmingham again but would also check availability elsewhere before before making my final decision. Staff were all extremely pleasant & polite. Well done to them.

Room Tip: Canal side rooms are a bit noisy but have a decent view.
