“THIS IS A REAL DUMP”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

Nasty smell, stained carpets, paintwork all chipped. Bedroom not cleaned prior or during visit. In fact the room was not visited by staff (mainly invisible) during my 4 day stay. Carpet threadbare in places. Flush the toilet and there is a terrible noise until cistern refills. TV does not work properly. Get your own breakfast if you can find the cereals, bread and milk (thats all you are allowed to eat. In fact this used to be an excellent hotel but it is now a DISGRACE. DO NOT STAY THERE, you have been warned.

Room Tip: Not able to give a tip.

My advice with regards to this hotel! IF YOUR CAR IS BIG ENOUGH TO SLEEP IN, THEN DO IT, THE CAR PARK IS A GOOD SIZE.
On first impressions the outside of the building looks ok, the gardens just need a good tidy. After that then its all down hill, that is except for the four flights of stairs you will need to climb on the way to room 16. I won`t call it home, as this would give the impression that it was cumfortable and clean and inviting. As it is NONE of these.
We were greated, no need to refraze that! We had our cash taken by a rude, mizerable and unsociable young man. Who gave us a key and took off up the stairs with the three of us in tow. As you get higher the smell of both gas and damp get stronger. Every door you pass looks like at some point in time the lock has either been forced or the door kicked in.Giving you that feeling of WHAT THE HELL DID I BOOK THIS PLACE FOR.
On arrival at the said room you are left in disbelief. The coffee cups were all dirty! Lucky there was no coffee to put in them. This must be due to the fact that the previous occupants had poured it all down the wall and like the rest of the room, cleaning this off was not on the maids(ha ha ) duty list, along with mending the broken wardrobe, bedside tables, cleaning the shower or removing all the mould and blue-tak. The shower head had a life all of it own and the sponge was a torn in half car sponge! As you step out of the shower the floor is that rotten you can feel it move under your feet. The noise from the pipe to the sink in the bedroom is amazing and needs to be experienced to be fully appreciated. Do not open the rear window as the smell of gas from the vent below to the left is over powering.
To finish the experience if at this point you are still considering this hotel then let me finish with breakfast! It gives you hope when you get to the breakfast room and see plates and cups and glasses, but you guessed it. NOTHING TO PUT IN THEM, AND NO-ONE TO SERVE ANYTHING. At the point we were giving up a man walked through the room, talked into his mobile phone , then entered the kitchen area and checked the empty fridge(both of which i had already done in the hope it my be serve yourself) at no point did he communicate with us. He then placed three open boxes of cereal on the table at which point the suspence was just to much and we left.
ALL I CAN SAY IS YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN FAIR WARNING. GO HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: pick another hotel

My mother and sister stayed there when visiting me and my partner in out new home just down the road. They said the room stank, the carpet was peeling up, the tv didn't work, the shower was mouldy, the staff nearly let the guests set the place on fire, they were unavailable, unaccommodating, 'shy' or just rude or didn't understand, food was awful as they apparently hadn't stocked up on food properly before they arrived... and half way through their stay in Greece, they were told that Mum's card had been used to spend £300 on a betting website!! That was the only place she'd used it, so do NOT visit this place as it looks like they are thieves as well as liars, unprofessional and lazy.

Room Tip: Do not visit here ever ever ever!

Staff were rude whenever we seen them which was rare, it was my understanding that receptions were manned 24/7, well not the case in this place, it stunk, unless a continental breakfast these days is a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes then breakfast was woeful. Room was disgusting, no plug in sink, bed broken and when you flushed the chain it made an awful noise for ages, all in all shocking hotel run by shocking staff

Absolutely shocking! DO NOT GO THERE!!! This hotel bears no resemblance to the posted photos on either their own website or on booking.com. It is filthy, badly maintained, smelly....in all disgusting. Finally - I checked out immediately and demanded a refund after seeing insects run across the bedroom floor. They agreed to refund me and did - but then stole £85 from the credit card I used to guarantee the booking without my authorisation. On complaining about this they claimed to have refunded it but lied!. I have now raised a dispute with the credit card company and reported them to the police. Dirty filthy hotel......and dishonest owners. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!

When we arrived to check into the hotel, we walked through the door to be hit by a damp musky smell, reception area was like some kind of corner shop selling anything and everything however there were no breakfast available, when we enquired about the bar we were told it doesnt have one!! We had to ask for cups and saucers for our room has there wasn't any. It wasn't friendly upon arrival there was one male staff member who was on reception!!! Do not be fooled by the pictures on the kensington hotel website has there are no similarities. There was people coming and going,, it gives the impression of being like some kind of halfway house for young girls and asian men. There was a young child crying until late into the night and from first thing in the morning... .im unsure as to what kind of people are running this place and would warn others to steer clear!
