The good bits - staff all very helpful, polite and friendly . The rooms have freebie tea /coffee , and ironing board , the bed was comfortable and the shower and bathroom excellent . Cab into the city £11 , buses pass the front door every few minutes . £2.40 single. We were not bothered by the passing traffic at all. The not so good - the room (220) very bland . The carpet was dirty ........flecked oatmeal in colour with black ingrained footprints on it ! Yuck ! Whilst the bar and restaurant areas were okay it did feel like a throwback to a 1970's hotel in many ways . Small features like the plant pots by the entrance door full of weeds , generally tatty exterior , the place needs love and a good deep clean . Having said that , this is still one of the best hotels in that road out of the many , although we were glad we only stayed one night . There was nothing exciting on the menu that would have tempted us to have had dinner there . Reasonable value at £90 a night . Not for special occasions .

I visited here a while ago when a friend was the manager but only the restaurant and then it was fantastic food and service so when needing a hotel to stay in in the area for work i decided to try here again. I was nit disappointed the room was clean and tidy. I had a great sleep in an extremely comfy bed. The food at breakfast was just what i needed to start my day. I had a lovely welcome at reception a great nights sleep and a delicious breakfast served by efficient staff all in all a great decision by me to stay here.

Booked the Eaton Hotel to stay in due as we were watching Jamiroquai this weekend at the NIA. So glad we went there as the welcome, comfort, cleanliness and professionalism were pleasantly surprising. A delicious breakfast and genuinely friendly receptionist ensures we will be returning for our next trip to Birmingham .
