We love Thai food, so we were looking forward to having a nice meal in Chaophraya with a couple of good friends.
We were seated upstairs, which was quiet when we arrived but was packed when left around 9:30pm. The service was excellent, there were lots of staff on hand and nothing was a problem for them. We decided to get the fixed menu for 4, which was delicious and seemed like virtually the entire menu!
We will definitely go back.

Amazing food, lovely attentive staff, we had a lovely booth seat upstairs facing out onto balcony and the church 😊

Only downside, which is the same as everywhere is nowadays.. The outside seating areas aren't "non smoking" so unfortunately non smokers need to sit inside whilst smokers enjoy the lovely evening on the terrace 🙁

As they have two outside areas, I think this could be improved by at least offering one as non smoking only seating area

Had dinner with the family on a Friday evening and managed to get a table for 4 booking on the same day which was really good. We ordered the sharing platter which was really tasty, the duck salad was delicious. The skillet cooked beef was equally good, best to order with rice though. The cocktails were good also. The restaurant was really busy and bustly in a nice way. The staff are really polite and attentive by only downside is it is a bit dark inside so it is difficult to read the menu. Will definitely go again but this time sit outside weather permitting.

Ate here with a work colleague this week. My bbq ribs were excellent and my main course chicken pad tai was also very tasty. My colleague also enjoyed his selection. It was very dark where we were seated making reading the menu a little difficult. All in all a very pleasant evening.

As Thai restaurants go, this is one of the best I have dined in, in the UK. Service is excellent, decor clean and inviting, cuisine delicious. Would most definitely return when I am in Birmingham again. A welcoming change from Nandos after a days shopping.
