Have stayed here before when it was another Hotel chain, it doesn’t look like much has changed here since. I chose it due its location, and price. I wouldn’t stay there any longer than one night though.

Hotel has parking and free wi-fi. The rooms aren’t that clean, nor was the cutlery at breakfast (which was sufficient). The room was basic, but that’s all that was required.

If you’re looking for a short stay over it’s good, otherwise you might want to look elsewhere.

Clean room but no hot water from the shower & it wasn't a power shower as advertised. Also the mattress was very uncomfortable and had we been staying longer than one night we would have probably ended up with backache. I had pre-booked breakfast & didn't feel it was worth £4.95 pp as it was basically cereal, toast, fruit, croissant & yoghurts. We had tea at the Fayre & Square pub next to the hotel where we found a bouncer on the door which made me a little uncomfortable. If I was visiting Birmingham again I would not book this hotel & would rather pay that little bot more for a better hotel.

after reading some of the reviews before arriving we were a bit apprehensive but on arrival we were made very welcome as we didnt know where anything was in Birmingham we asked the receptioninst where places were which she sorted out for us by giving us the address and postcode of places, problem with heating in the room but was attended to straight away and sorted, went back to reception again to ask for more milk and sugar which was not a problem for them. Overall a very pleasent stay, would stay again.

The staff in this hotel are unbelievably rude and despite advertising a 24 hour bar the choose to close the bar at free will when they feel like because they cannot be bothered. The choice of breakfast is not great, there is no option for a traditional english breakfast. The rooms are very tidy, but that is the only upside of a very unpleasant stay I had to endure there for work reasons. If you wish to be treated with a complete disregard for humanity, suffer abusive language and discrimination from the staff at the bar and be spoken to in a disgusting and abusive manner then by all means choose this hotel. If not find an alternative one.

back a year after the last visit and it has now changed hands. The only difference is that the staff seem friendlier and more willing to help, even going out of their way. One of my main bugbears is the lack of decent milk for tea, but they were happy to let us take up enough milk from the restaurant to solve that problem.. Decent free view channels including radio 5Live. Shower very good. Downside was being on 3rd floor and lift not working on 3 of the 4 nights we stayed, so indicates that the place needs a little maintenance carrying out.

This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn Express and changed only a couple of days before we stayed. We were travelling with cats so we were a little concerned that they would change the animal policy. They did honour our booking which was nice of them. Pity they did not let us know about the change and it was only on a Cat Show forum that we found this to have been the case.

We arrived and found the place to feel a little desserted. It seemed clean and modern so we just thought we had arrived before most of our friends. There is a pub next door in which we found some of our friends and the food was average pub grub. Nothing at all fancy.

The room was quite comfortable and we found it was just big enough for our needs. Breakfast was very poor though. The choice was very sparce with only baked beans, sausages and bacon available for the hot choice and the orange juice was like water. Some of the group likened it to what they find in their cat's litter trays.

Overall I was very dissapointed with this hotel and it was not up to the Holiday Inn Express standard we were expecting.

The room was very clean and simple, very nice shower. Stayed two nights, i would be happy stay here again. Good choices for breakfast, but the scrambled eggs were salty. Pub next door was convenient for dinner, that was only ok nothing special.
