Well what can I say. We got there to cramped turnstiles that are closed in tight. The security we met on the door were horrid. The carpets are all sticky and horrible, we went close to the tote and this short guy said "we're closed" we said just looking and he muttered something to himself while switching on the machines. It took half an hour to get two drinks and two burgers. The track is high up so if you are disabled you would not get much of a view apart from watching it on a screen inside which defeats the fact of going. If you do go up the steps to view the race they are all different heights so you stumble when going up. (We only had coke before someone thinks we were drunk). £3 for a coke. £3.75 for a burger on its own. £2.50 for a program. No wonder there are hardly any people there. If they introduced a happy hour they would have to force the staff to smile. Do they realise we are in the other side of their faces. The only smiles we saw from staff was when they were joking among themselves. We stayed half an hour and left. The fixtures had been botched together where you could see damage had occurred and rather then doing the job it looked like they had gone out back and grabbed some scraps of wood to repair it.
The score board looked like it needs a replacement, old CRT screens that were not very clear. Floor sticky, old carpet. It is not a place for entertainment at all. I have seen cleaner transport cafes. Overall I would not return for any reason. They are either earning no money which at those prices I doubt. Or they are taking in all the profits and putting none back into the building. The automatic machines had no coin slots. You put a note in and I never saw any change. So if you put a tenner in that is what it looks like you spend.
If you are wanting a nice evening out then I would not recommend this place at all. Waste of money and waste of time. Comes to something when you wipe you feet to come out. Footwear was sticking to the floor.
