Stayed at the hotel on Saturday before a half marathon on Sunday.

The welcome on arrival was very good and the receptionist very kidly checked me in early as a room was available.

The room was immaculately clean and stylish with comfy beds. The only downside was the air con did not seem to work at all and as a result it was really warm in the room. Then come night time the noise from outisde was crazy! 2am - 3am was the worst as the clubs turned out! Unfortunately it was impossible to close the window as the latch had broken so the noise.

That aside, I will stay again - I just will make sure I get a room that is quieter and if I was out on the town then I am sure the noise would not be an issue as I would be one of them.

Everyone was so welcoming and my real disappointment was not being able to enjoy as much breakfast as I wanted..... had to keep to a strict small breakfast ahead of the run! Shame as it looked amazing!

Thank you Hilton.

I stayed here for a weekend recently while attending an exhibition in the NEC. We wanted to stay in central Birmingham rather than out at the NEC. We got a wonderful weekend break deal through the Hilton website which was outstanding value! The staff were lovely and friendly. We had a great room on the top floor which spacious, nicely decorated with great features like an apple tv and a hidden fridge. The bed was realy comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. Despite being in central Birmingham it was super quiet with no external or internal noise. Breakfast was truly delicious and despite it being a buffet the food was super fresh and high quality. They also have a chef there to cook omelettes and eggs to order.
The location is fantastic right at Brindley place where there is a huge selection of bars and restaurants, or if you walk about 5 minutes down the canal you will reach the plaza at the back of the Mailbox where there are further restaurants. The hotel is literally right beside the NIA and ICC so would be very useful for conferences.
Overall it was truly an outstanding stay, and such incredible value. The only comment I would make is that on site parking is super expensive so I would look elsewhere in the area for parking.

Room Tip: Top floor at the back of the hotel is very peaceful.

Hotel itself is in a good location rooms are decorated to a high standard first impressions were really good, however the lounge and breakfast area made me feel like I was staying at a budget hotel. The quality of the breakfast was poor, there were no sausages the bacon looked unappetising and I had a mushroom which tasted like someone had emptied a tub of white pepper over it. Left disappointed and hungry.
Also the room we were given 125 was directly over the restaurant so from 7.30 am we could here the noise of chairs being scraped across the floor as people were sitting for breakfast. We also heard someone urinating must have been in the room next door or above which wasn't pleasant.
Would stay again if the price was right but would ask for a different room and would not pay for breakfast. Would have preferred to go to costa across the road.

Room Tip: Not 125 was noisy from7.30am due to being over the restaurant

What a great vibe this hotel has. Excellent location. Friendly staff. The rooms are great - clean, well thought out if a little small. I loved the Mac computer instead of a TV (although it works as a TV) and being able to link up to Netflix.

Food was pretty good and it's nice there is a little shop selling snacks and drinks.

No smile from reception, did not make me feel welcome, despite phoning in advance and reserving parking I told it was full. When I complained they checked and found out that actually there were lots of spaces. Car park is very tight to get in and out of so if you have a big car be careful or use the multi storey across the road.

Room overlooked the nightclub which stays open very very late, way past 2am. The room was not soundproof. Was offered an alternate and much quieter room. No idea why they didn't just offer it first time round. Rooms are nice but a bit small, bathroom is very small. Wi-Fi is free with good reception and speed.

Breakfast was nice but again service was terrible.

I complained in the morning and got a full refund as well as an apology, but it didn't make up for lost sleep and feeling rotten the next day.

Probably won't go back, but if the service improves its a reasonable hotel

Room Tip: Don't get a room overlooking the nightclub the across the road. The rooms are definitely not sou...

Very central, modern rooms, Apple TV very impressed amazing value for price - beats budget hotels hands down. Car park next door £15 for 24 hours I think the hotel may also have car parking. Going to Bank restaurant for a 40th so stumbling distance.

booked one night stay with a family member. Check in was swift and professional. Rooms are lovely, very comfortable. If i only had one suggestion it would be to have the ability to switch off the air con. Even when turned off, fresh air comes into the room and its not offensive, just that i like a really quiet room. Notwithstanding this, the facilities are fantastic and the location is second to none. Every room has its own apple iMac for watching TV, listening to music, surfing the web, writing this review....

The eateries around the area cater for ALL tastes, mexican, french, italian, english.... you get my drift.

We stayed on a friday night and the local area had a buzz to it but it was still nice and quiet and relaxed.

Car park is but a minutes walk from the main doors.

Will definitely book this hotel again when staying in Birmingham.
