Travelodge is a good hotel and very affordable. l would recommend this to everyone. Its very comfortable and you will not regret your stay there. Before, l went to Crown plaza which is a 5 star hotel, but this time i went to Travelodge because l could afford the money. Comparing crown plaza to travelodge, they are literally on the same page. Obviously they have differences but if travelodge can improve a little then they will be 5 star easily. :)

Myself and my husband stayed here on a Friday night before continuing on a longer trip the next day. We were very pleased with the location and found it easily with the sat nav. The car park we used was very close by and cost only £3.50 for 24hour stay. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and tidy (we stayed in 118) the vending machines even had a wide range of products available. We will definitely stay again :)

We booked this particular Travelodge in order to see a band play at the O2 Academy. The Travelodge is walking distance from Birmingham New Street train station (providing you don't have to carry your luggage) and also an equally short stroll to the O2 academy.

The rooms are modern and fresh with great beds and decent showers and this particular one has a cafe/bar, with the bar being 24hr and an all you can eat, good quality breakfast available in the morning, which not all Travelodge's have. Breakfast is a deciding factor for me because I don't want to be trawling the streets in the morning looking for a cafe of unknown quality.

The icing on the cake here however is the staff. They are all genuinely friendly and helpful, no painted on smiles. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a refurbished room above the entrance door. The room was good but very warm no air con or fan. Very good location for the Bull ring, China Town and the Hipperdrome for shows. Would use again staff all very good.

We went from London for a family mehndi party over the weekend and stayed for three nights from 10-13 August and had a surprisingly relaxed and comfortable stay. The hotel is newly refurbished therefore, lovely and clean. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and we all had a good night sleep each night, even though our room was shared by my sister and our two children, the hotel provided a travel cot and only one sofa bed was used. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast for £7.95 per adult, the children ate free and the food was plentiful. Also enjoyed the fact that after a late return we can order food and take it to our rooms.

All in all we had a good stay, nothing to complain about, there were a mixture of groups, large families, couples and elderly and we did not experience any noise issues while we were there. The staff were helpful and there was always someone around if we needed help.

Would definitely go back again, especially as we spent a lot of the daytime in the Bullring shopping centre which is literally just across the road. It is a great hotel, has value for money and I would recommend to anyone.

Great hotel, newly refurbished. Booked via travel republic so we each had a double room which caused some confusion at check in and breakfast (!), but all good. Good sized room, clean fresh and fab shower room. No hairdryers or irons though they can be borrowed from reception. (my friend was more organised than me!) we asked for room close together, she had a side street view room and I had a room overlooking a waste ground car park on the other side. Hers was quiet, i was awoken at 3 am Sunday morning by guys standing outside their car, all lights on and music pumping out.....!So ask for a side street room .... Didn't spoil things, breakfasts were lovely and the location was great for shopping and theatre. would recommend
