This hotel is an extended period house, which retains some original features, such as the beautiful oak panelled dining room. Our room was small but comfortable & quiet, with a lovely view over the central courtyard. Plenty of hot water for bath or shower. Breakfast was adequate & there was ample parking. Short car or bus ride to the centre of Birmingham, but plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. Some staff were very helpful, others a bit unfriendly. OK for a short stay, but as the room was small & had no chairs it could be claustrophobic for more than a couple of nights.
