Owner description: This square has been changed recently from a grassy slope used for picnics during summer days to a European-style pedestrian plaza that is accessible throughout the year.

This square is the best place in Birmingham that people don't know about. It's a lovely square which is great for pictures. There is almost always something there to do there; be it a festival, German market or some marketing give away.
Worth going to see on a sunny day for a nice photo or two.

I felt like a child in a candy shop! So much beauty concentrated at a single square!
Every single building and landmark there is a real piece of art! Spent there hours, greedily taking more and more photos, and just couldn't get enough of it.
HIGHLY recommended!

Nearby, turning left down the main street, to the right hand side, there is a place offering 'All you can eat for 5 pounds'! Not the cleanest and classy place but a big choice of food and really tasty.

I think the Square looks very impressive with the surroundign buildings and the openness of the square and its statues and steps

Victoria Square is the focal centre for so many things in Birmingham. Whether its a civic reception for national/international dignitaries, a recruitment fair, a sports event or just a spot of lunch.

There is always something going on here.

It is always worth your while having a slow walk up New Street to this attractive public square to see if anything is happening. On the rate occassion that there isnt you can always marvel at the architecture, or visit the Birmingham museum and art gallery.

Vic square also hosts Birmingham's big screen which is lovely on a summers day as you watch sporting events in the sunshine while having lunch. Alternatively you can just do one of my favourite past times and people watch.

Something of note - go up to the statue of Queen Victoria, can you see a strange footprint?

Victoria Square is a nice centrepiece, the opposite end to the Bull Ring. It is clean and tidy and in December not many people about.
