“Room on the Broom”

Saw Room on The Broom. Seats had good spacious gaps between rows which is good if you have leg problems like myself. The production itself was fab!

“For small concerts, a suitable complement to Symphony Hall”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

Classically designed, and recently renovated at massive expense, Town Hall is the sister hall for Symphony Hall, and operated by the same staff, but its programme tends to be for small groups of performers, the stage being quite small. Atmosphere is intimate, and the view seems fine for all the limited number of seats. Try the Roskilly's ice-cream at the interval here too, rather than queue at the bars.

“Amazing refurbishment”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

To sit in a theatre where Charles Dickens first read 'A Christmas Carol' and know of all the famous people who have performed on that stage including myself as a tap dancing child backing Frankie Vaughn in the 1950's.!!!!!!!

“Birmingham Town Hall”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The acoustics are good although the views are not so good from all seats as, say, Symphony Hall. An interesting building and it's position in the centre of Birmingham makes it easily accessible if travelling by car, train or bus.
