Went to see Ian Hunter and the Rant Band here in October 2012. Great acoustics, great atmosphere and a nice touch were the excellent staff who dealt with some folk, let's just say they had one to many, in a very professional manner which kept everyone happy. Anyway, it seems you get a great view wherever you sit. A great night at a great venue that has been refurbished to a high standard. Excellent.

Went to the Town Hall to see Brian May and Kerry Ellis, as part of the Born Free Tour. We had a great night, the acoustics in there is fantastic. Brian May delivered a truly fabulous performance as always, even surprising and exciting the crowd with Queen numbers along with his famous electric guitar. Not sure about Kerry Ellis, but she may grow on me.
The venue had a wonderful setting, although Birmingham City Council dampened the night by not allowing the candles to be lit. It was supposed to be a candlelit atmosphere, but their roll was to play jobs worth. The entrance was chaotic, also finding the toilets was a mystery tour. Once inside though it was beautiful, the only draw back was that the seating is all on one level. We will make sure that we get better seats next time we visit, we need more nights like this.

A group of us visited the Town Hall in Birmingham.
We were very lucky to be able to meet and chat with the Lord Mayor who is very interesting and was very heartwarming.
We were showed around the rooms and halls.
Worth a visit!

Went to a concert here. Strange building stuck in the middle of roads in Central Birmingham, looks very Roman in structure.
