“Refurbished Town Hall improved 100%”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

As a regular concert goes I have avoided the Town Hall for years prefering to go to Symphony Hall which had much better acoustics and greater comfort. However last week I realy could not turn down the chance to see Carlos Nunes, Phil Paickett and the Musicians of the Globe (which was fabulous) being fully prepared that despite the refurbishment I would be dissapointed with the other aspects mentioned above. I was in for a delighful surprise following the refurbishment the sound was great although I do believe there must have been a great group of sound techies but furthermore the seating is comfortable and joy of joys enough leg room. None of the original features to this historic building appear to have been tampered with. I will in future never turn down an oppurtuinity at this venue to see something worthwhile. Goodness even Birmingham city Council get it right sometimes.

“Wonderful Music Venues”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

As a regular fortnightly attendee of the Monday Lunchtime Organ Recitals I can vouch for the excellent sound from the superbly restored 19th centuary Organ -so wonderfully played by the Birmingham City Organist ,Thomas Trotter. Its a great pleasure to be able to join the large and knowledgeable audiences. The Town Hall facilities [including those for the disabled], are very good.

Great classical music concert space - and wonderful ladies loos too! It is great to find somewhere where the queuing will not take up the whole of the interval!

I visited the town hall with my Daughter and Grand-Daughter 28th December to watch The Gruffalo's child, we had previously watched The Gruffalo, which my Grand-Daughter loves. We all enjoyed this. The Town Hall is a lovely building inside and out, the people working there very helpful.
