Description: At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food. The beautiful refurbishment of the Royal Mail's main sorting office (hence the Mailbox name) has produced a premier shopping destination in the heart of Birmingham. And inside you’ll find our Birmingham Zizzi. Our restaurant is split into 2 main areas. Our raised floor area is great for large tables or parties with some funky light fittings to get into the party mood. And in contrast, the lower area (towards the large windows), draws more on the canal and outdoor theme, with large floating cloud-like light fittings hanging lazily overhead for a more relaxed vibe. With outdoor seating for sunny day dining and only a stone’s throw from the city centre’s attractions our restaurant in the Mailbox is the perfect way to end your day out. Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.

My husband & I went in at about 6.00 on a Saturday night in Feb. No waiting for tables even though it was fairly busy for the time.

Good menu choice and fairly easy on the pocket.

Food was tasty and warm The only downside was the size of the table. For the main course we shared 6 dishes from the tapas menu. The menu advised that 3-4 dishes would be the same as a main course. So we chose 6 between us. Once these were placed on the table, there was no room for side plates, This made it difficult to eat some of the dishes. However that said, it was enjoyable and tasty.

This was our second visit and we weren't disappointed and even though it was a only a Tuesday evening it was busy, the atmosphere was warm, lively and inviting (the weather outside was very cold). The location in Birminghams Mailbox is a fantastic place to visit with many restaurants and we had a window table this time and so had a canal view. Zizzi always have some sort of voucher available we had 40% off this visit and our waiter was friendly and accommodating

:-( I thought it couldn't happen but it did.
Am a big fan of Zizi but when going to a bigger city I expect the service to be high class, yet was below this... To make it easy going to bullet point the following
1). Left waiting at the door on arrival
2). Left ages to order had to wave my hand about
3). Starter was left on the side as the ONE waiter working at that moment walked pass 4times!
4). Waited n waited for food
5). Asked to move table as a party was arriving ( still no food)
6). Had to express concerns n ask for discounts

:-( never again sadtimes

Visited here as a small group for a midweek birthday meal in October. The restaurant had a good atmosphere for the middle of the week and was very busy however this meant a long wait for service during the evening. Although there was a good range of food on the menu it was nothing special to eat and we were all glad to be paying with discount vouchers - it would have been disappointing to pay full-price for the range of average and barely warm dishes we were served.

Our party of 4 visited on a Saturday evening, at 8pm. We waited a short while for our table to be cleared and cleaned but not too long. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing throughout the evening.
We ordered 3 courses and all enjoyed our food.

A lovely, reasonably priced evening which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Zizzi might be a chain but they offer decent, tasty food at a good price. Will happily eat there again
