A collection of art, artefacts and local history spread over three floors. Entry is free and a great place to while away an hour or so. Located in the heart Birmingham it is well worth a visit or two.

I liked the display of the art gallery. The museum was well presented, but I felt that it was lacking something compared to other museums/art galleries that I have been to around the world.

Highly recommended for a visit, every gallery offers something of interest and charm, and its small enough not to overwhelm and large enough to impress and charm. Staff helpful and informative, with a large, cool, restful restaurant that's worth a visit in its own right as a civic masterpiece.

Top quality museum. Lovely building and so much to see that it's best to do a little at a time. We visited the top floor exhibition of the history of Birmingham which was first class. I also enjoyed the pre- raphalite paintings and the Japanese artefacts. The employees were very helpful and it was enjoyable talking to them as they were interested in our impression of Birmingham as first -time visitors. Definitely a place to re-visit ( the museum and Birmingham !).
