Went to see the Staffordshire Hoard which was worth seeing, but also intrigued by the Egyptian displays.

“A great Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

This is a wonderful place to visit, as an individual, couple or family. There is something for everyone. The Egyptian exhibituion was astounding and seeing The Lady of Shalott by John William Waterhouse took me back to my school days when I studied the poem for English Literature. Highly recommended.

“BMAG never disappoints”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

Since my children could walk we've been taking them to the BMAG. Why is it so great?
- it's free (but it's always a good idea to put a donation in the box!)
- there are activities on for infant & primary children during holidays
- the new History of Birmingham attraction is very interactive and very interesting
- the current exhibition of art owned by the government (free!) is excellent
- the Georgian tea shop is quiet, reasonable quality and price- get away from the bustle of Brum in here
- my kids love it!

“A delightful place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

Very good permanent and temporary exhibitions, restaurant and staff. First time the fascinating Government Art Collection shown outside London. Excellent behind the scenes tour of Staffordshire Hoard, worth every penny! Also enjoyed old favourites such as Pre-Raphaelites and De Morgan Ceramics. Very east to get to.

“art and artifacts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

We visited the Museum to specifically see the Staffordshire Hoard, but we found the art galleries and the historical areas to be interesting and well-displayed. The cafe/tea room is a nice bonus to take a break during the visit. We had planned to spend a few hours but found that we spent closer to 4 hours seeing all of the rooms and exhibits.
