“Great value! Great Staff!”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

This hotel in conveniently situated for all Birmingham's attractions. The staff are very friendly and excellent service is provided. The buffet breakfast was as good as many we have eaten in much more expensive hotels.

Excellent three night stay. The rooms benefit from PI's latest refurb (although the TV screen was much smaller than other newer ones I've stayed in). Great price (£29) and great location; bang in the centre of B'ham. Only disadvantage, no hotel car parking. Brunell Street is the one to head for (on the road signs, it's the Town Hall car park). £11.00 for 24 hours. On street parking (with the exception of Sundays and overnight) is very expensive and limited to 2 hours.

Our room was much smaller than ones we've had before, and although on the top floor (7th) not much of a view. Couldn't believe how many seagulls live in B'ham! Room inside and out very quiet (no traffic noise). The sound of the Cathedral church bells added a nice touch at 8.30am Sunday morning!

Breakfast was fine/okay (ie the usual PI faire). It's help yourself when they are busy (eg at weekends). Available till 10.30am and 11.30am weekends. Don't know why PI emphasise the "all you can eat concept"; doesn't improve their image in my mind. Bread horrible sliced stuff!

Having looked at the menu, not tempted to eat in the restaurant. The usual unhealthy "pub grub" faire. There are so many other places to eat at in the area.

Would definitely choose this hotel again, especially at £29.00 (to compensate for car parking costs).

Room Tip: Other rooms may be larger than ours (715); didn't ask during stay.

Thanks you. We had a very comfortable stay, the staff were polite, professional and very efficent. I would be very happy to stay there again. The location makes it ideal to visit the City centre, the markets and the Bullring.

Having stayed here for quite a few weeks having preferred this to the other premier inns all within as easy a walking distance from where I'm working I have to commend all the staff equally for their courteous professional friendly helpful manner. The room is excellent and the food very good. I have to say a big thank you to Donna Sheila Eoin and John the morning chef whom early morning starts will never be the same without their warm friendly smile and amazing breakfasts. Thank you everyone there you all make a dreary extended stay away so much better.
