Frequenting this establishment many times now because it is so tasty food. Just try their LAKSAR soup...mmmmmmm.

Service impeccable, with such friendly and helpful staff. More importantly, very modest prices.

Top marks and Bravo

“The closest I could get to home cooking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

I am Malaysian Chinese living in the west for over fifty years. The food in Bugis Street Brasserie
is Good. They serve Chinese , Singaporean and Malaysian. Had been to many but Bugis stands out above the rest I had been to.
There are others so called Malaysian restaurant but the food when they first started were good but after a while their standard drops
Bugis Street somehow maintain their high standard . So I frequent it regularly for a bit of 'Home Cooking '

“Exceeded my expectations”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

I have travelled in China and am always a bit suspicious of the quality of Chinese food in restaurants here. This was a pleasant surprise. I was staying in the hotel[and I stay here regularly] and found the quality of service and food to be very good. Good Peking style starter and main course. Very good value with the 20 per cent off voucher for hotel guests. I am likely to use this again!!

“Super friendly staff and incredibly tasty food - the shared starter platter is a must”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013

Lovely restaurant situated in the Copthorne hotel. Nice bar area for pre-food drinks. The restaurant is open and fairly minimal in decor, with a feel of quality about it. The menu is extensive and the food very tasty, I've eaten here a number of times and never had a bad meal. The shared starter platter is amazing; with ribs, spring rolls, seaweed, sesame prawn toast and chicken satay. They do start to wrap up for the evening fairly early though, and start setting up for breakfast at around 10pm, so don't book a table too late if you want a relaxed unrushed meal. Parking is chargeable, which stings a bit (£3 from 6pm til midnight), but fair enough for a city centre location I suppose.

“Worth travelling to Birmingham for”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

This restaurant is a delight to eat in. The food is excellent and well prepared and cooked. It is a very friendly restaurant and the staff can't do enough for you. It is one of the reasons we often choose Birmingham for a weekend brake. We love the place and will keep returning as often as we can.
