My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend and were both quite impressed with this Innkeeper's. It's super easy to get to from the M5 and with free parking, you can happily leave your car and catch a bus into the city centre to avoid the hassle of city driving. On arrival, we found that our room was the first through the door on the ground floor, right next to the bar. Surprisingly, it was an incredibly quiet room (even on the Saturday night!) and the only noise we heard was the standard corridor sounds/closing of doors that you get in almost every hotel. The room was spacious, well stocked with tea, coffee and little milks, and despite perhaps needing a touch-up of paint here and there, the room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was great; we went for the cooked option and found that there was plenty of choice on the buffet, plus fried eggs to order. The standard continental looked like it had a good range too. Staff were very friendly, particularly the lovely lady doing front of house during breakfast!
Overall, would definitely recommend this Innkeeper's. Sure, it's not the Ritz, but as budget accommodation goes, it's genuine value for money.

We stayed here 8th February in a double room and my daughter and her family in a room with a double bed and pull down sofa bed. The double beds and the sofa bed were very comfortable and the rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom and shower are spacious and with lots of hot water and snuggly towels. We had the carvery but whilst overall it was good, none of us enjoyed the beef as it was fatty and sinewy. The turkey, pork and gammon was delicious.
The continental and cooked breakfast (£3.99p extra) was good and plentiful.
We had been to Cabury World and this hotel is only 4 miles away and ideal for a good meal and comfy bed.

Christmas time we booked a night's stay here going on to a further venue the next day. The hotel staff booked us in with ease and explained where the room was and all of the information regarding our stay. Our room was very pleasant and spacious. Extra pillows was ordered and these were there waiting. Cooked breakfast the next day was plentiful along with the free breakfast should you needed toping up.

On a personal note whilst in the Carvery queue the gentleman in front of me seemed to have more of the Carvery meat than I received even my partner received more. This may have been my perception but decided not to query this as I was feeling a little under the weather and did not want to cause a scene. We have stayed many times at various Inn keepers in the past and this is the first time I have had a cause to mention any thing but still feel you would go a long way to beat the value for money from these establishments.

I stayed here recently as an alternative to my normal business hotels, since I was traveling on business and therefore more cost conscious than usual. Although the place itself is unremarkable, the room was spacious, clean and the double bed very comfortable. Modern tv was a pleasant surprise and despite being close to the main road, there was almost no noise. As a consequence I slept soundly and felt very refreshed for my business meeting in the morning. Probably saved myself at least a £100 versus a hotel. Would definitely recommend to a budget conscious traveler. Staff were very welcoming as well - thankyou!

Our large family stayed overnight during our trip to Birmingham. We arrived early and was unable to check in, but reception called us a taxi to take us to the Christmas Market downtown. We were split into two family rooms in the basement that comfortably fit four people in each room. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The heat was not working in one of the rooms and we were given space heaters. The rooms were very quiet except for the broiler going off every now and again. Breakfast in the morning was very nice as was the staff.
