waited ages for a waitress - she spent ages taking the order before us as if she had no concept of anyone else who may possibly want to order food within this century. we eventually ordered but I was so fed up by the time already taken and the prospect (going by the impression created by the 'waitress') of more ineffectual 'service' - that I cancelled it and we left. I was disappointed as we've had a breakfast here before and were looking forward to good value and prompt efficient service - last time, the manager was friendly and on the ball and we'd had good (basic) food, however this time the staff were apathetic and delivered nothing that could be termed 'service'.
went to the breakfast barge instead and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Recommend breakfast on the barge and not at the S & L.
