We have lived in Birmingham for 10 years and only discovered this house by chance. It is a beautiful house with fabulous gardens. I am not a gardener (quite the opposite!) but really enjoyed wandering amongst the beautiful plants and trees. An absolute must is the orchid house, and the green house with the cactii in. Very cheap to get into , easy parking and a great tea room.

Difficult to believe that you're only a mile or so from the heart of the second largest city in Britain when you wander round the gardens of this house. It has the feel of a country house and is a pleasant distraction from the hustle and bustle just round the corner.

Winterbourne House you may visit only once, but one may experience the gardens as the seasons change. When in full bloom, they offer a magnificent and peaceful location and are a horticultural photographers dream. Easy to get to and with ample parking. No reservations necessary! And from time to time, special events are put on.
