“A step back in time to enjoy”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Old fashioned pushing and shoving in a scruffy market venue takes you right back in time to old old Birmingham.

An experience not to be missed, just take this place for what it is and enjoy the trip back in time.

Enjoy

“Market with a Difference”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

If you are in Birmingham a visit to St. Martens area of the city is a must, this market is not your normal run of the mill stalls, you name it and you can buy most things. The fresh fruit and veg areas are a must, with the multi cultural city the variety of stuff is amazing, if you don't know what things are or what to do with them the locals will tell you and more besides, if your into making your own clothes or soft furnishings this is the place to be. The shops surrounding this area are very reasonable, make their own goods and the display of colours is amazing. Nearby is the Chinese Quarter, the jewellery Quarter and many more areas of interest and a very short uphill walk you are in the main shopping area the new bullring and city centre, all transport links, easy parking, easy for w/chair uses, plenty of places to eat to suit all pockets and nationalities, with a wonderful warm friendly atmosphere from the locals.

“It's wonderful”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

I try to visit this market whenever I go to Birmingham. It seems to be the place to source those things you need but are unable to find elsewhere. A vast selection of fabrics, trims and accessories. All sorts of electrical, household and cosmetics. A proper bazaar and I adore it. I always finish my visit with a roast pork & stuffing sandwich at the corner caffe. Cheap, delicious worth ever penny.
