Have been visiting the indoor Market lately,it brings back memories of my childhood,the meat section,the fish mongers,the peanut stall,the smells and have a guess what nothing doesn't change it's still a brilliant experience

I love the indoor markets in Birmingham. There are three parts to it. One with food of all varieties (including the fab shellfish stall where you can buy a dozen oysters to eat there and then), this part also has a mixture of general stalls like haberdashers, clothes, shoes, beauty products, stationers, cards and gifts etc. Then outside and cross the road is the Rag Market for all types of fabric and embellishments for fabric. Then there is the outside part (under cover) with all the fresh fruit and vegetables.

I always go to the indoor market before the shops as they are so much cheaper and of course there is a lovely atmosphere.

Who is the absolutely gorgeous asian guy on the electrics stall diagonally opposite the incense and candles stall? Late 20s muscular man?

Love this place - what you see is what you get. Cheap indoor stalls sell a myriad of goods from hoisery to haberdashery - shoes to steel cutlery. The indoor market never seems to really change - it's been a great place to shop for decades. The outside market offers cheap fruit and veg and an assortment of other goodies. The fabric stalls are divine - cheap end of rolls of fabrics make for great bargains. The foam stall offers items that are ofetn difficult to get easily. The chip shop beside the rag market gets busy but offers fair size portions and outside dining. So close to main shopping area, Selfridges etc. Not open every day but the rag market is worth going to.;
