We went to see The Lion King for my daughter's birthday, it was amazing!

The staff were extremely helpful and approachable. Toilets were clean and we didn't even have to wait too long. It was the first time we had ever been to the Hippodrome and we are already looking to book our next show.

“The Lion King”

Truly brilliant show. We were really impressed with the facilities. The lager was a little flat and stale for £4 a pint i expect better. Would highly recommend.

“LION KING! Amazing!”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Had tickets brought for me at Christmas from my partner to see one of my all-time favourite Disney films on stage... I was blown away by an amazing cast, amazing costumes and overall fantastic experience!

The Birmingham Hippodrome is easy to find, and we parked at the nearby Arcadian car park which was no longer than a 5 minute walk away from the Hippodrome.

Beautiful venue inside, and I don't think there was an empty seat in the whole theatre! Expect to be singing 'The circle of life' for days after!

“Outstanding even better than the film!”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

Went to the Birmingham Hippodrome last night to see The Lion King and wasn’t disappointed. Everything from the stage, the set and actors were superb and also most of the staff at the venue were polite and courteous. I would highly recommend going to see this production it’s every bit as good as both the West End and Broadway production I saw a few years ago, perhaps even better!
On the down side given that ticket prices are already quite expensive I think the drinks/ice cream prices are far too steep, and it slightly feels you’re being ripped-off as a ‘captive audience’. So come on Hippodrome remember money is tight these days and don’t ruin your excellent reputation by not giving value for money on drinks etc.
