We also attended the signed matinee of the Lion King on Sunday. The show itself is enthralling to watch, and the interpretation just adds an extra dimension to the performance (the interpreter is called Donna Ruane and she works for Theatresign; see their website for other interpreted shows).
Staff at the theatre were very helpful and seemed to smile no matter how busy they were. I noticed there was also at least one usherette (is that the politically-correct term these days?) who could sign too, which was very useful when trying to resolve some confusion over seating before the show began.
All the children I overheard afterwards had enjoyed the show very much, and I'm sure the adults did too.
