We also attended the signed matinee of the Lion King on Sunday. The show itself is enthralling to watch, and the interpretation just adds an extra dimension to the performance (the interpreter is called Donna Ruane and she works for Theatresign; see their website for other interpreted shows).

Staff at the theatre were very helpful and seemed to smile no matter how busy they were. I noticed there was also at least one usherette (is that the politically-correct term these days?) who could sign too, which was very useful when trying to resolve some confusion over seating before the show began.

All the children I overheard afterwards had enjoyed the show very much, and I'm sure the adults did too.

Thank you for your comments, our access performances are very important to us and great to hear that you had such a good time and found the signer to be as good as the production.

Look forward to seeing you again soon...

We went to the signed performance and I have never seen such an enthusiastic signer. All the feelings and actions of the cast were portrayed by her ( sorry I didn't catch her name )
The show was spectacular and such a talented cast especially the youngsters , not to be missed.

We saw the show last night and found it very good, and we really enjoyed it. We would recommend seeing it. There was a standing ovation at the end.

Been to Hippodrome a few times now and it's a nice theatre, our latest visit was Saturday night and the auditorium was warmish, had an aisle seat so had some leg room.

Was the 2nd time we have seen the Lion King the 1st being in the West End about 8 years ago.

This was a very good performance of the show with good puppetry for the animals and funny bits. Perhaps not quite the magic of the first time.

If you are going to the Hippodrome over the summer watch out for the tunnel closures on the A38 expressway. Planned a different route in and ok after we had eaten post theatre (midnight)

I really enjoyed the show, it was Fantastic & the drum playing was superb. My friend booked the seats and they were very comfortable and in good position.

I like to say a big thank you to your staff, they were very professional, kind and very attentive. I was very impressed with one member of staff (Hannah) she showed me to the area, where I was sitting and was very accommodating. Thank you Hannah.. Credit to the Hippodrome.
