Description: "Perfectly sited in Brindley Place, Thai Edge is a smart, very modern restaurant, with white decor and masses of flowers which are flown in from Thailand, as is much of the decor. You will receive a warm greeting - which is part of what makes this spot a favourite among the mixed, trendy clientele, from students to professionals. What's cooking? Dishes are beautifully served and you'll find all your favourites on the menu, like three types of satay, Thai fish cakes with cucumber salad sauce, spring rolls, spicy minced prawn on toast, and chicken galanga, specialities like steamed seabass with spicy and sour sauce and tamarind sauce, stir-fried beef, chicken or seafood with fresh chilli, lemon grass, basil and pineapple. Of course, there are pad thai and a plethora of noodle and rice dishes. Four set menus. This is one place you'll return to again and again."

This is the 4th time we have visited and we weren't disappointed. The waiting staff were elegantly dressed as usual. Our waitress Kwang was really friendly and helpful and we ending up chatting away to her! We shared a seafood platter to start with the assorted dips to compliment it. Mains were mussaman nuae, goong pad ped and kow pad pou. The food was absolutely delicious. The bill was reasonably priced for the quality of food, service and style/location of the restaurant. 5/5 from us and will be making a 5th visit.

Our first visit & we are already talking of when we can go back.

The restaurant is stylish & comfortable. There are crackers & a dip on the table when you arrive, which is a nice touch. To start we had the seafood platter to share & it was excellent, with 4 different dips to go with the food, would definitely have that again. We then had a mild beef dish & a spicy lamb one (can't remember the names), with a lovely egg fried rice - all were very tasty & portions sizes just right.

Weekend in Birmingham and wanted something different. This smart and stylish restaurant didn't disappoint. Nice little touch with the thai crackers and dip whilst choosing what the extensive menu had to offer. Disappointing lack of set menus for 2 persons but very happy in our final choices beef, scallop starters with chicken and prawn curry mains. Bottle of good wine 2 starters, 2 mains and coffees for less than £65 not too bad.

Having been to Thai Edge in Cardiff a couple of years ago, this was a must do on our visit to Birmingham.

We booked a table for 7 pm and had a short wait on arrival. The staff were attentive and helpful.

We went for a set meal and the food was delivered quickly and was tasty and hot. There was plenty of food as well!

The restaurant is large and has a contemporary feel. It does get quite noisy as it fills up but this wasn't an issue for us.

Our meal came to about £90 for the three of us with the set meal costing £21.50 per head.

We chose the Thai Edge for four of us to have a pre New Year's Eve concert meal. The food was delivered luke warm and became cold very quickly as there were no dish warmers offered to us. We complained to our waitress who apologised personally but she did not inform the manager. To add insult to injury the bill was offered to us with a service charge already added, which we refused to pay. Needless to say we will not be using this restaurant again, even though we frequent this area of Birmingham regularly.
